This was a very good drama, probably one of the rare slice of life family dramas that doesn't make you want to punch your screen every episode.
The ending was satisfying overall, but I wish they had wrapped up the grandfather's illness before the wedding. I wasn't super fond of how the ML and FL's wedding and newlywed life ended up being overshadowed by the ML's grandfather's storyline. I would have loved for the last two episodes to focus on the couples and the heartwarming moments shared between the two reunited families.
Also, super happy nobody died in this drama, probably one of the first KBS weekend drama to not kill off a main character? imo Ml's grandma does not count cause she barely showed up.
P.S. I also wish Minseo had made an appearance in the finale. She and Eunbin were one of my favourite characters along with Vp and her brother!
I’ll also kind of miss the comment section. It is one of the messier comment sections on mdl thanks to a certain somebody xD , but most of the commenters made this drama even more enjoyable with their takes and reactions :)
I think the reason he overreacted was because she was getting DMs and she enjoyed getting those DMs and their…
But before she admitted to it, how did he know? I thought he just assumed stuff. But yea, at least deny it girl 😭 She was so arrogant about it too!! Can't believe the Ml found it cute... dude is hopeless
I can't stand Dohee, but the ML freaking out over her having a public social media account had me ded. His assumption that a woman would only keep her profile public to get male validation is incredibly misogynistic. Dohee was absolutely right. She shouldn't be expected to act like someone's wife or give up her own identity just because she's dating the ML. Expecting her to change her behavior to fit his preferences is controlling and feels really outdated. I seriously hope the ML gets some character development because he's been pissing me off so far. 9 episodes in and I am already ranting xDD
The first wife cursed the FL when she was a baby, saying, "I hope your daughter goes through the same thing." Now I'm wondering if the ML is going to marry Dohee but end up falling for the FL instead. Is this going to be the same old mess? God I hope not!!
Ooof, okay, nvm. I could empathize with the older wife and her kids, even though their actions were illogical. I understood why they couldn't bring themselves to like the FL. But after today's episode... they really disappointed me. I had so much hope for the older brother too. Oof.
This drama is so strange because there's barely anything happening, yet it kept me completely invested. It has such a calming vibe, perfect for winding down, slowing your brain down, and just getting immersed in the characters' conversations. I absolutely loved Chloe's house! it's so beautiful. And the parfaits were all so intricate and looked incredibly delicious. Now I'm craving a parfait (╥‸╥)
