Looks like both Dong Ik and his dad have some serious trust issues. It was pretty obvious that the ML's grandma had gone through some kind of assault based on the state of her clothes, but he didn't even bother listening to her side of the story and immediately freaked out on her. In the same way, Dong Ik took things way too far by hiring a detective. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if Dong Ik's first wife actually left him because of a misunderstanding rather than an affair. I really hate how quickly these characters jump to conclusions.
This drama has been pretty lighthearted so far, but today's episode was a little disturbing. I honestly can't get over the fact that paranoia and trust issues ended up starting a feud that lasted for 30 years. What makes it even more frustrating is that the misunderstanding didn't just ruin both families' lives,it completely destroyed the lives of the missing grandma and grandpa too.FL's grandma's reaction was so real: "How do I face a woman whom I blamed everything on, when she is innocent?"
I'm hoping everything gets sorted out soon, but I honestly don't know if their situation is better or worse now that everything's been revealed. They caused each other so much pain all because of a misunderstanding.
Oof, that was my rant. And in case anyone gets triggered, this is just a reaction to this ep. I still enjoy watching the drama, just frustrated cause I love the characters, and it sucks that they have to go through this esp since both the families seem to like each other.
I think Junho will try to break apart Jangmi and Junho using this as an excuse and we will see more tears and agony for a while cause of the breakup xDD the 20 ep extension was made in order for the writers to dump all their ideas into this drama instead of the waste basket xD
Do the writers hate Baekho?? It feels so unfair to him if they make Hwayeong his mother. Like , “oh, I finally found my birth mom”… but EWWW, it’s Hwayeong??? First he has to deal with learning he was adopted, and then they crush him a second time by revealing that she’s his bio mom. That’s honestly so mean and unfair to him, imo. I'd rather have a maggot for a mom than Hwayeong xD
YES!! omg when he said he was allergic! I think you are 100 percent spot on with that!!
If it ends up being Manager Lee then maybe the weird sub plot with Yeong Ja and him is a hint that they will bond over her being the adoptive mom and him being bio dad and end up together? I also cannot wait for Junho to find out xD

I do wonder why Baekho was left with an item bearing Chairman Ma’s crest. I have a wild theory that Hwa Yeong's family or Baekho’s father were the original owners of the Dream Group, and Chairman Ma somehow stole it from them or took it over xDDD
I agree with this, I don’t like se ri. but her devotion to that family is amazing. she at least deserve a slack
I love your take on this, and you’re absolutely right. I really like how the characters are written in this show. They’re definitely breaking away from the usual stereotypes, not just with the stepmom, but also with the FL and ML’s friends. I honestly expected them to turn out scheming, toxic, and meddlesome in the FL and ML’s relationship.
This drama is probably one of the least toxic weekend dramas we’ve had in ages. Even the main conflict in the storyline, the feud between the two families, doesn’t feel nearly as frustrating or problematic as the way similar conflicts are handled in other dramas.

They do feel like side characters, esp the FL and ML. I think it’s because there isn’t as much tension or build up, so it doesn’t add as much to the plot compared to the others. I’m starting to really like U Jae and Eunbin in the past few episodes. It’s so much more interesting watching U Jae pursue Eunbin instead of the other way around.
Now that would be great if he was doing that! I did like his character at first but wow did they do a complete…
I actually really like the actor because I’m an og kpop fan, and he used to be under T-ara’s agency. He was also in a really cool horror drama(Possessed), so I’m honestly super disappointed by the complete 180 they did with his character, esp since it's been a while since he has been in a drama.

Maybe Junho is not her son and we can finally see that smug look wiped from his face xD
No bonsai for you Junho boi
