I just came across a microdrama of his on FB (When Fish Swim to Land) and I had to hunt him down. Looks like it should be on iQiyi but unfortunately, it's not available in our location π
Satisfying revenge and cute romance! The main characters were smart in countering the enemies' traps. I binged through the entire thing at normal playback speed, and I was smiling during most of the leads' scenes together. ππ
This is a masterpiece but I don't know if I can ever bear to rewatch because my heart is traumatized by the gang dying one by one ππ That second prince of An deserves to die a thousand times for what he caused.
This drama hooked me at first because the female lead was no pushover and so capable of getting herself out of troublesome situations in the earlier episodes. However, that changed in the latter half because she turned into a damsel in distress, and the men who love her had to rescue her. Her getting trapped/captured a couple of times would have been understandable because she had a lot of enemies, but at some point, it just got exhausting.
I also don't get why the danger/threat was supposed to concern the entire Longyuan continent but somehow the other nations weren't involved in the final battle. I mean, wouldn't it have been awesome to see how fighting nations finally cooperated to get rid of that threat?
What saved the show for me is the romance between the leads. Their chemistry was amazing, and the slow burn made me feel like their choice to be together was so hard-earned, which made episode 31 my favorite of the entire show.

Also, the OSTs in this drama are completely unforgettable for me!
