Because it's mdl, and it has too small of a pool, only a few thousand raters on every cdrama at most. Just use douban for better reference, it's a 9.1 on there with 250k raters.
Watched the first episode and it already is very different to the donghua. Like Lin Shuiyao randomly saves Luo Shiqiu at the start, while he tries to get that flower soul breaking dagger (looks more like a shortsword in the drama but ok lol), and that's their first meeting... while in the donghua they meet in the first tomb. And the dagger was already hers from the start. Why do they always have to change the plot in live actions... Like they don't want anyone to watch it or something. What they could've at least done is using the same clothing/hairstyle as the donghua. My dude Lou Manfeng doesn't even have white hair in here... Sad seeing a potentially good production going to waste.
Anyways, it's obviously a low budget drama, so the cheap cgi doesn't bother me. Still a drop for me though. If you haven't watched the donghua, maybe it's worth a try, idk.
