In Final episode Qingyi was just recovering from a near fatal virus. He got shot and brutally stabbed, Fell from very high onto concrete and endured a high impact explosion that threw him a long distance onto concrete. Did I miss anything? I do not think he would survive all of those injuries. His bones were probably broken too from the blast and fall.
Not sure. But in Novel she is princesd of a fallen kingdom. Which means their enemy took them down and eithet usurped throne or co solidated the power of those in power
Yes the Emperor was warned not to bed a servant. Remember the plaque the Chancellor made him hang up in his room? It said just that. I noticed in trailer they showed him in white getting flogged. It looked like he was being treated as a sinner. I can't think of any other reason that would happen unless his enemy came in to usurp throne and had him beaten.

That is an IV port. I think he caught that terrible disease. He is supposed to go into battle they could spread those pills like napalm or something. He could have gotten shot by Li Boze. But ly bet is he is sick after exposure to bio /chemical warfare. His health will probably never be the same. He looked like he was having breathing problems on other clips I saw. No i did not read novel but knowing others are saying she was a princess from a fallen kingdom makes alot os sense. There is a glaring clue in the intro. They show a huge gold phoenix statue with her in clothing thzt reflects a different culture. I think that was her as the princess. There is no way Cosmetics guy would recognize that phoenix symbol on her shoulder if he was not from the fallen kingdom. Only those really close to her would know what that symbol means. In Novel I believe he saves her from a pile of bodies. But they do mention in drama she crawled out from underneath a pile of bodies. There must have been a massacre. My guess is Xiang her friend who died probably was her companion/servant who watched over her. That is why she would die for her.

I have been heavily hearing that they will put the alternative ending in express package. Where he dies in a hallucinatory state like looking at a lantern. We are left to decide if its real or illusion. I remember Zhang Linghe said that when they filmed both versions in one version he is ALONE in other version people are with him. Ugh so it looks like we will get the HEA version thank god! What they consider HEA lol Evidentally Qingyi sacrified himself with his troops and died in battle in the novel. So he 100 percent will be going to war in the drama where he will probably get exposed to some kind of chemical warfare made from the red pills. The red pills were a test before they used it on the troops. My guess is because he took the red pills before the exposure would not kill him like others. So he survives but health really damaged. Ugh this will break my heart even if HEA to see his character weak and bed ridden if true!
