How can this Emperor not have a food taster! I get he was showing himself as Hal but still lol That was cold blooded. I kept thinking of the show Hot Ones. I just saw it in person and let me tell you it was funniest thing I have ever seen the higher they went up with the peppers. Hal is not normal. A normal person would have been on the floor crying lol

I mean Qingyi only treats them that way because of the contempt they have for him. What mother in her right mind would not love Qingyi For her to hate a highly educated son who becomes a doctor and then even protects his family. What mother would despise such a gorgeous super tall dark and handsome man. I mean most Asian moms especially would be shouting from the rooftops that is my son. She probably sees women fall all over him like his dad. But unlike his dad he is not a cheater or can be with someone he does not love! He is every moms dream lol Lets not even talk about him bei g a war hero and saving their status being Principal of the Aviation school!

I am enjoying this drama but I think 1 episode a day is not helping with the ratings overall. Especially when the episodes feel like filler. I am enjoying it but it is no Fated Hearts or Feng Suige!

Yes you are right! My thoughts are that he might have gone through terrible withdrawls and messed with his brain for awhile. He did not even remember the parents or her. That is probably why they let him live. Overtime alot of his memories came back. One other thing they never clarify is if his biological father treated him badly as well before he died? I feel
the like the mother sees Qingyi as a mirror of the husband that did not love her. It is like she is punishing him for the love her husband did not give her. Her husbands picture was shown a bit he was very handsome. She deluded herself saying he does not look like their family lol. But I kept thinking what if Qingyi looked so much like her dead husband she is so messed up she may hate that. She could not beat her husband but she could Qingyi. Also she blames Qingyi for his death. Qingyi could be a walking reminder of the man she loved. Remember when Qingyi cut ties and he wanted her to stab him. That was not a mothers love that kept her from doing it. I feel it was like looking at her husband. She was a sick sick woman. Her vitriolic hate for him makes no sense. They know he tried to warn them? How could she blame him? No her hatred towards Qingyi is very deep there is more to it. What if Qingyi was the child who was supposed to save their marriage. She even says in preview why did you have to be switched and why is my son such a jerk! Sounds like she was projecting ! She probably resented Qingyi giving love to anyone as it reminded her what she could not get from the husband she was so obsessed with!!! Even arranging such an awful marriage with a spiteful and vengeful woman he would never find happiness with. Qingyi even said Father did not love you it was one sided and an obsession. The difference in Qingyi obsessive love is once he opened his cold closed heart to love it changed him. He became empathetic and put others before himself. He was not sociopathic like his mother. His love with Ren Su Su was not destructive and toxic until they both let revenge and others get in the way of their happiness. I have a son that is mirror image of me and his father treated him terribly because he looks exactly like me. His father sees him as a reminder of a woman he hates. So he beat him and really messed him up in the head. His other kids he treats like gold. My sons family is very rich and powerful all they care about is the family name.

To me you know a show is successful if you can't wait to watch it! If your thinking alot about the plot and really love the characters. I am going crazy for new episodes! Every episode leaves a hook. I do not care what others are saying this drama is sooo good! I have to say the scene where he meets his son with the puppy and then they talk while she is behind screen was so beautiful! Then they played the same music from when they made love ugh I just melted. Those scenes will definitely be considered some of my favorite C drama scenes ever. Now I play those scenes over and over again. He is so hot in Daddy era and she just looks stunning. The kid is sooo cute and just adore him! I can't wait for them to find out they are father and son. You know she is trying to fool a doctor that is not his kid lol. Not to mention how stupid is she to use his other "brother" as the said dad! After the baby switch between them! Not to mention Li Bozae had HIS biological parents as loving parents while he suffered having both families hate him. To then make it look like he was stealing his sons birth father from him after the trauma it caused both of them with the switch! It makes it look like he takes everything that was his by blood! A child gives unconditional love. He now has a piece of himself and can start his own bloodline away from the Murongs. They tried to take that away from him. Oh he will not let that go and get to the truth. He definitely wants to be a daddy to his son Le'An💯❤️🥰

I agree that was ballsy. I also think his comment about how he was not seeking a marriage bed was suspect. Maybe he is already involved with the dancer?

From my understanding I think some of these big actors will bring their actor friends to other productions. It depends whst power they have and what is in their contract. The father in Fated Hearts/Grand Tutor posted he and CZY had a special bond and he sees him like family IRL. Also I noticed he got really close to the kids on Fatal Hearts BTS. Chen Zheyuan has stated in a show when he was really young he really wanted a daughter to treat like a princess. If its a son he will be really strict with him🤣🤣 🤣💯 . This was in the show " Little Forrest" where he took care of all the little kids as the premise for the show. So I know he is fatherly on set and has a special place in his heart for kids especially girls. He has long said that his parents divorce was really painful for him. When his father remarried he had two daughters but the youngest makes them 17 years
younger than him. So he never really was close to them and he acted very indifferent. Then suddenly he mentioned his sisters saying they boasted in their school that their big brother was going to be in Hidden Love and it was their favorite book as well as was really popular in their school. He seemed to like that lol Now that they are older I think he bonded with them. CZY is always team mom.

I understand being that she was orphaned and had no family, there was no family to give a Dowry. Yes I agree betrothal gift is correct. He is giving her his Empire as a gift and promise to wed instead of the boxes of gifts sent from grooms family. Normally once the betrothal gifts are sent and accepted they are bound. To me betrothal is an agreement to marry. The brides dowry is usually sent to Grooms family. It is the Bride price the Grooms family get it to make her valuable to be wed. She has no value till she a became an official. So i agree bethrothal gift sounds better but as a title sounds weird. I think that is why they changed title to be easier to say. But frankly he is not betrothed to her yet also it will be more like a decree when they marry not a betrothal. Betrothals are longtime contracts to be wed.

I am a little worried that tall man in black robe is someone they are really close to. One of the 3 guys in tub or guy friend working for Bureau. If you look at his eyes even with mask on he is very young and tall. He looks handsome underneath. I don't think it is the Grand Tutors son as they are setting up her friend to be second couple. But the young guy friend who just came out of nowhere. I do not know I am starting to think he is bad guy. Ugh its going to be Fatal Hearts all over again finding out his closest friend betrayed him or will it be her friend😭

I notice some of the actors were in CZY other dramas. I saw two already from Fated Hearts. The young Meng TingHui was the adopted daughter in Fated Hearts and Grandtutor has played his dad twice!

I really can't wait for his elder sister's downfall! When he finds out that they beat both of them and one left in street to die and she almost lost baby! Damn!!! I do not think he knows she jumped on top of him protecting him and lost part of her hearing over it. He seems to be the one with the money, prestige and power now! Oh how the tables have turned!!!!

I know! I am watching so many K and C dramas with AI intros! These titles are expendive to make. It takes huge dollars from their budget they want to put other places like production. AI is cheaper. Look at Royal Betrothals opening! But its cool! Also i love the Ai intro of Overdo itis literally telling a story and plot points to come. Even the last shot with bride on staurcase and him in military uniform. It gave away spoilers subtly.
