I'm having trouble getting past the first 20 minutes of the first episode. Baddass girl trope, grotesque scenes...
badass girl trope isn't bad lol idk why but i actually buy this one she has a deeper natural voice and even tho her face is naturally cute her rougher mannerisms are so natural and not overdone (the violence was because it was taken from a webtoon /dark humor with the fake blood effects+overdone hitting sounds) but i could see why it would throw people off who don't like violence usually i don't like cheesy violence like strong woman do bong soo or whatever but i find it more bearable here doesn't make this drama good tho so far, so much problematic bullshit in here which sucks because i love this director (fiery priest) :( i love the way scenes are taken and put together...
I blame the crew for making this R15 and not R18. By reading the comments i can see that the demographics is mainly…
why are u saying little girls are making these comments and patronizing their opinions? bit weird and wrong of you. whether they're young or girls or both I don't see why you're looking down on them and bringing it up in your post also "demographic is westerns who are triggered and bringing politics into it?"' what r u talking about... the show is being racist with how they make the man darker and with dreads cultural appropriating while portraying black people in a negative, dirty way. the timing doesn't make anything better director/writer/etc should have had more sensitivity especially now so ignorant +camera is dodgy on high school girls dancing +that kiss was totally uncalled for people can have issues with this and not have anything to do with you saying its a western political take or whatever LOL
first we had things like my first first love and my holo love (not my type of dramas, weren't bad but weren't special to me, average) but then we have Netflix originals like kingdom and extracurricular <3 now we can look forward to this, move to heaven, the silent sea, hellbound, d.p dog day, all of us are dead, undercover, the school files, and sweet home <3 omg they all look so different and amazing i cant wait!! so much more netflix orginial kdramas than ever before i hope we keep getting more and more netflix dramas for less censorship so we can explore more characters/plots/issues, etc freely
also this is so different and open compared to any other kdrama ever made because of netflix lol without netflix this show would never be made in korea in the next 10 years profanity, heavy topics like prostitution actually explored, characters that aren't black or white actually doing crimes as the main characters and doing a business like the one in the drama..+the toxic high school relationships shown were pretty realistic they got their fuckboys in korea this drama didn't sugarcoat shit i give it at least 8.5+ so far just for actually bringing something new to the stagnant flow kdramas have been going on..
i hope korea makes more raw, real shows like this (obviously lots of things were dramatized as it's a drama) but i want more darker themes with actual serious issues portrayed and actual tension and buildup in the plot with lots of interesting side characters and twists i loved how the characters were constant throughout the show, made them feel more real (such as with the main girl) im all for character development but not changing the whole personality of a character lol thats one reason why i can never immerse myself into lots of kdramas this drama is amazing
wow i love all the guests wtf gong hyo jin <3<3<3 , lee kwang soo <3<3 lee seo jin <3<3 (i missed seeing him on variety shows after little forest ended..)
also this is random but i hope lee hyori will be on.. i been watching yoo jae suk how do u play show & i literally screamed when she came on it was so much fun and they are doing a little one-song one time type of group for the show and she kept saying how she rlly wants to get back into music and seoul life in general i rlly hope he helps her with tht and i hope she comes on here soon !!
ok so after the Jessi & Jaesuk ep which was hilarious best ep in a long ass time (and im currently rewatching rm from beginning) so i have a more recent feel for how it once was so good im like hold on i rlly dont think next couple eps can b as good and no offence i dont listen to kpop and i just had assumptions honestly tht it was gonna b too boring or just careful cuz they're idols but it was actually way above my expectations very natural and fun banter with good memorable moments the girls are cute yet you can rlly see the outgoing fun personalities rlly loved dae hyun in the last challenge and how close the girls seemed to be close with somin also glad somin is back she made the ep x100 better with her craziness LOL

usually i don't like cheesy violence like strong woman do bong soo or whatever but i find it more bearable here
