I tried watching this drama back in 2023, but I dropped it after the first episode. Now I decided to give it a…
She had just found out that the wealth he had earned was earned at the cost of a young girl being killed and had just seen that girl murdered in front of her. Any reasonable person would burst out in anguish at seeing an innocent child being ritually murdered in front of them
I really wish that Hyangi had a real reason to have a grudge against dying and becoming an evil spirit. If you…
Hyangi was going to be killed in the sacrifice, so in order to save herself she instead let Mokdan die by giving her the hairband. She tried to live her life in the free way she wanted to, painting and everything, but after her parents died as well she realized that her guilt wouldn't let her live normally, and hence tried to save Mokdan to redeem herself, only to be turned into an evil spirit after seeing Mokdan killed and put in place of her. Her grudge essentially boils down to the fact that she couldn't live her life the way she wanted, doing things she wanted to do, like painting, she just wanted to live normally like she assumes most people do. And part of why she resented San-yeong was because in her opinion, San-yeong's contemplation of suicide was wasting the same life that she herself fought so hard to have, clearly lacking an empathy for the circumstances that made San-yeong feel that way.
Mokdan is obviously a more sympathetic character. She became the innocent target of Hyangi's resentment when she had done nothing wrong. It was the villagers and their parents, and obviously the shaman and the chaebol couple who were the main villains
why did she destroy his car in ep 7? like i was cringing so hard. it couldnt be crazier
She found out he had bought that car through money which was earned at the cost of someone's life, and had just seen that poor girl get murdered. Any regular human with normal emotions would react that way.
i hated how it ended tho ?? like you made all the 12 eps around this ghost, and you couldn't even give her a proper…
Her seeing the beach she grew up near in the end and falling silent and dying was the best ending and resolution she could get. She recognized the terrible things she did, saw her past and died. She was someone who was past redemption by that point
If we were to talk about the maximum expression of the romantic context between the two leads, what could happen…
Unlikely we'll get more than few hints of flirting here and there. It's not exactly a romance show, and when the lead actress was asked if they would make a good romantic pair she held up her hands in a cross (❌) sign.
Thank you 🫶 I've been a fan of hers since Jeongnyeon and The Guest. I really like both her detective characters, they're so strong and independent and at the same time are ppl with their own complexities.
I loved that speech. It shows her conviction for justice and her motivations. I really hope we get more such moments going forward with the sculptor's case as well. I also love her action scenes, especially pulling Yi-soo and jumping off the roof during the explosion
If u can’t even handle such friendship, how would you even manage to watch “Soulmate” or “You and Everything…
Soulmate is tolerable because the movie doesn't try to make either of the female leads the villain or the perfect lead. Both of them are flawed in their own ways and go through their processes of healing and maturing, and ultimately come to realize that their friendship is more valuable than anything else unlike this show which throws the friendship away over this boring ML
I'm saying all this time that YR is not all that. I don't feel any chemistry with her and JP and their whole confession…
That's the key thing that makes JH a more interesting and well realized character, that she is aware of her flaws as opposed YR's constant glorification.
Oh yes, only you know true film art, Mr discount store Martin Scorsese 🤣 The rest of us are casual noobs who can never dream of reaching the intellectual heights you sit perched on
That's why I have problem with this ML and FL concept . Writer always try to force them to end up together . The…
So true about 2521. It was a great ending, however sad, because that is what life is. It handles the first love trope much more maturely than this drama does, because in this half the logic behind the ML and FL getting together is 'he's my first love' that's not a good reason, most ppl don't end up with their first love and their lives go on. And like in 2521, that doesn't make the love any less important. It just means that love isn't the only thing in the world and sometimes we can't control everything.
Modern women will never give their 100% in a relationship but definitely expects 200% from their partner in return.…
JH literally has ONE person who cares for her and is there for her when she needs comfort and solace. That's why she goes to him, it's not timepass. Unlike Young-rye, she doesn't have friends or family or anyone who genuinely looks out for her except Young-sik, and she's someone who's entire life has been defined by trauma and pain. No wonder she goes to him.
YR and JP understand each other so well, which is why they deserved to be together.I don’t think JH got nothing,…
Achieved her dream to become Ms. Korea only for it to again become about Young-rye cos the writers couldn't stand JH having even one moment of glory lol
Repeat after me- kissing the same mouth that kissed your best friend isn't realistic (if she's actually someone…
So true and to make it worse Jonghee left because she was protecting Youngrye. Imagine leaving to protect your friend only for her to date the man you loved and who loved you.
Mokdan is obviously a more sympathetic character. She became the innocent target of Hyangi's resentment when she had done nothing wrong. It was the villagers and their parents, and obviously the shaman and the chaebol couple who were the main villains
