It's the second highest buzz in SK after Queen of Tears. Mostly for the under 40 population.

I feel the same. Byon Woo Seok was so good in Record of Youth, how could it take so long for him to be noticed... and Hye Hoon should have become A-lister immediately after Extraordinary You. I'm very happy for them and they really deserve the love.

based on the first 20 mins, decided to skip this one. (Of this week's new k-dramas I find Begins Youth seriously awesome; Crash is very promising based on ep 1, Midnight Romance in Hagwon is also a clear skip for me).

I meant that when the ML behaves very stupidly, that's for me painful to watch. Especially the award ceremony, I had to skip that :)

An Pan Seok is known for his melodrama dramas, so I guess this won't be for you, even if I truly wish it would,…
Yes, prob not for me. Although I think melodrama is quite the opposite to realism. I loved Something in the Rain though, there was no craziness in it.

Calling other people snowflakes (is projecting). You could just say what your opinion of the drama is without comptemptuous remarks about people who love Lovely Runner.

How's it guys?Is it slapstick comedy or satire? Also is there more to it or is it just random miserable character…
I wouldn't recommend, so many better dramas out there to watch. If you're looking for intelligent humour, this ain't it. Maybe there will be satire when they start the dating show but I doubt it. I get a lot of second-hand embarrassment from the ML's behavior.

People are impatient these days, they complain already at episode 1 😂
analyses are not complaints to be exact, this happens to be a commenting site where you must understand that everyone has different experiences and expectations.

On The Midnight Romance in Hagwon May 12, 2024
Why the melodrama tag? There will be the schoolteacher turning into a psycho stalker with his revenge and that's the melodrama aspect. Also the father going crazy about ML's decisions is forthcoming, obviously also some melo in that direction to be expected. I'm not fond of melodrama, in any shape or form, I guess I'd better wait and see the comments after this has ended.

You're nailing this indeed. What made Something in the Rain so good was Jung Hae In and his awesome acting, in retrospect. The chemistry really carried that one. I already didn't like One Spring Night at all, it was too much of the same. One Spring Night had a melo psycho in the form of the FL's ex, and this one will have the same from the disgraced teacher.

Title Cobweb
A very funny and absurd film. There are layers to interpret for those who want to. The director did a fantastic work with the actors. The acting is amazing. This is first and foremost the kind of film where actors even in small roles really have the chance to shine. The film they were making turned from a psychological thriller into a fullblown trash makjang with psycho characters chasing mindless revenge. That was comedic therapy for me after the frustrations from watching Marry My Husband, My Happy Ending and Hide that turned exactly that way. If I had to name one drama this might be mocking with the end scene it would be The Glory. 9/10

this is kind of okay but too predictable. The plot is very similar to Wonderful Nightmare and Welcome 2 Life. 6.5/10
