I finished ep 17 and im kinda unhappy and dissapointed how the female characters were written in this series. Producer Choi was fitting at least the tone of the series but for me Oh Bong Yi feels out of place and she gets a lot of screentime that i honestly didnt enjoy (love the actresses tho). I feel like for this type of series a female character who is more mature would be ideal. Besides that i enjoyed the series so far. I kinda wished female characters had a different approach in the series (cause i see lots of potential which would make the series even more outstanding), thats why i would rate this 8.5-9/10. Also like the comment below i dont know if its a common thing but why do i feel like male leads in thriller action genre always go after younger naive female leads? Like a badass really smart strong confident mature woman and ba reum dynamic would make this series even more electric and fit with the tone. Like instead of a woman who gets hurt all the time and needs to be rescued by the male lead i wished we could see a woman who is challenging the male lead and compete with him instead of being deceived. Also i know this isnt a romance series but mu chi and producer chois dynamic would be way more interesting to watch for me than ba reum and oh bong yi. its sad that after ep 1 their scenes were underwhelming i felt like there was more potential (not even in a romantic way) and to explore.
At first i was like uhm interesting wonder what is going to happen but then once they settled in the hometown and it kept going pretty much the same tone i started losing interest. And i dont know whether its how the way the main couple story was written or their chemistry was lacking in general- i also lost interest in them. I feel like since i watched lots of kdramas as i got older i started losing interest when couples in their 30s act like high school lovers and portray a cartoonish-like love story. It feels not sincere sometimes. I understand kdramas have their own style capturing / reflecting couples but when the chemistry is lacking it looks like even more a bit out of place sometimes.
I really hope this leans into more mature and passionate romance. CANT WAIT AAAAAA. Finally a kdrama im looking forward to, its been a long time since im this excited for a casting.
Sohee “views the script positively” is pretty much like a confırmation but like not officialy confirmed like joohyuk so i was wondering when the official confirmation comes in general. i kinda wished sohee and joohyuk were the leads in solo leveling so after finding out they gonna get actually cast this soon made me soo happy. but i still fear that maybe she wont be in it last minute so i need that confirmation from her side too asap😭
No fan wars Some ppl got every excuse from production.AI intro (they change it back today)Dialogue+ camera work…
Thank you so much for your time to explain. Im still really excited to watch it and come to my own conclusion about the series but was also curious how the audience will take it since it looked good and exciting. Thank you <3
A question. I was excited for overdo because of the leads and try to avoid spoilers about the series cause lately i dont have much time. But it got really low raiting (which surprised me). Is the series not that good as expected or is it like a fanwar thing with voting down with other intentions. Dont wanna read comments on the series site cause of spoilers or anything.
THE TEASER DROPPED😭 Im waiting since 2024 for joohyuks comeback and cant believe its gonna be here soon. Also the trailer looks SOOOO interesting but i didnt understand a thing. But still really different from this years dramas. SO EFFING SEATED.
Saw a short clip of her scene in the movie "The One" with one of my favorite song Family Line as background music and i had literally tears. Zhang Jingyi portrays difficult and complex scenes with raw and honest acting, she pours her heart into it. I really enjoy her acting in emotional scenes and i would be really thrilled to see her in a movie project with the actor of the movie Big World, Jackson Yee. It would be my dream leads in a movie with amazing acting guaranteed.
yes i also think so their friendship was a little bit toxic but what i didn’t like the most is how slow this…
Exactly. Honestly cdramas are so good at creating "high school" and "university" settings. You really feel how it is being young, super refreshing. And honestly i dont mind encountering problems and angst. But i think they made some things too complicated to a point i couldnt enjoy it. Friendship problems is a good topic for a youth drama, its not all fun and comforty in that age, but i dont know i didnt liked how they handled it i guess. Also like you know a ship is going to be endgame but when the 2nd leads are both involved in that dynamic, it makes hard for rooting it and leaves a bad taste for me. if there was like a supporting character which stand in the way or like a character involved for 5-10 episodes only on the purpose of getting in the way and help the slow burn, i could tolerate it but i think this is the first time im seeing such a complicated love storyline and friendship line that left me confused so i couldnt enjoy it sadly. the leading actors were cute and the vibes i got from first episode had me like hopeful for the rest but it wasnt like that when the story unfolded for me.
No one has seen any of it as of June 13th. It hasn't been released yet. Maybe you could email the writer, director,…
Umm i saw couple of comments which where absolute confident of “no romance” regarding the series thats why i was curious and asked if there were some kind of information, that i didnt see since i barely follow anything on social media. And no i wont mail the writers, thanks for the suggestion tho.
This is super unpopular opinion but i find this watch uneasy and uncomfortable. You can say it is realistic cause friendships in high school is really a roller coaster and not always pleasent and can be really weighting on your mental health and unhealthy to a degree that you wanna skip school. First of all i didnt understand their "friendship dynamic". Like they were hanging out as 4, but since the 2nd FL isnt from the neighbour hood she is like the +1 of the group? I didnt get if she was friends with only the FL but also the boys? And one of the boys had a crush on her, mind you... Like when she had to pick another major and she was super sad to be seperated from them the boys didnt care at all. So i was confused if they were friends or not?? And the love part..... 4 leads and no one had mutual feelings. It was so exhausting and overwhelming for me.. i dont know a lot of people liked this but i didnt get a warm comforting feeling from it which is a pitty cause the first episode with the neighbour hood etc was fun at first, but the love part ruined it for me.. im not a fan of love triangles in general and adding to that a love square makes it even worse. this had so much potential actually and i found the leads cute but the story was too complicated for my liking. but you can say it is super realistic. high school isnt always a healthy comfortable warm place for everyone. also a lot of people dislike the 2nd FL but i find her extremely realistic. the jealousy when she sees her friend with others and shifting to a toxic place is extremely realistic in high school age. some people cant really accept the fact people can treasure multiple friendships and pressure them to drop these friends. I dropped the drama the first half so this comment is only about the early stages of the series.
Is there like absolutely no romance or like a small amount of romance. Sometimes in these type of projects there are like moments but obviously a small part. Either way im seated for joohyuks comeback 🫰🏻
I would really love to see him in a romcom with marriage problems theme for example like queen of tears. Kinda a fun one but also with subtle emotional rollercoaster. I think it would fit him a lot.
He is coming back in july? Best news ever. And already got cast in another project. I need him to bless my screen in every possible genre, thats how much i missed him <3
Hahah recognizing an actor from the voice is an unique experience😂
