It's not a rule. For exemple, most of my 10/10 dramas I wouldn't say its fancy... I don't think that needs to…
Agreed, to me the 10/10 dramas (and this is definitely one of them) are the ones that were the most meaningful to me, simple as that

Title Was It Love?
Why I'm shipping her with Mr. Goo Pa Do..... it pretty good.. I must say I love the first few lines on his book.…
I liked the book so much, the opening lines, would be a killer read, wish this book was real.

The drama totally had me when The Cranberries's Dreams was played. You've Got Mail is my gold standard, have watched it a million times. I have been nonstop listening to Lee Ba Da's Korean rendition of Dreams, it is well done

Exactly, nailed it.

Title Was It Love?
Loving this already!!! Four male leads!!!! Two I'm absolutely in love with: The PE teaching and the ex-gangster:…
I second all of this. From next week's trailer, it seemed like writer is trying to throw a misdirection about who the father is, but ain't nobody falling for that, it's going to be Dae Oh, guaranteed.

Title Dinner Mate Spoiler
The TOD (Truck of Doom) is a beloved kdrama trope but its use here feels grotesque. I guess there's no better…
I'm right there with you, loved episode 14 after the let down of episode 13... then came the truck of doom out of nowhere. What I additionally find annoying is when in this kind of situation, the female lead just cries and calls out for help. Pick up the darn phone and call an ambulance, put pressure on open wounds, freak out later. Arggghhhhh, why can't she at least just call a freaking ambulance. The driver staying the car is the most insane, plus the car should have been shown to have tried to break and also should have tried to swerve to avoid the hit and been unsuccessful in swerving far enough, that would be a lot more believable. I love the witty banter and the leads in this drama to pieces... it deserves better than this sloppy storytelling.

Why did jaehyuk leave the FL can someone explain me please? I didn’t get it
I don't think this has been explained completely yet, we got bits and pieces of information. What was revealed in this week's episodes is that he lied to the FL about his family background, she thought he was a struggling poor student like her. He appears to be from an uber-rich family and was kicked out without a penny, the reason for him getting kicked out wasn't clearly explained, but it sounded like his parents didn't approve of his career choice, they thought he wouldn't make it in the industry and would come back home. He never introduced the FL to his family and didn't tell her anything about them at all, as he said they wouldn't have found her to be good enough due to her poor family background. This being an embarrassment to her family part is what the FL overheard and was really upset about. There's also something about his mother being ill, so he had to return to his family (this is my guess) and that's why he broke it off with the FL. In one of the very early episodes, the 2N Box CEO said to Jae Hyuk that he never really went to the US, for studies this was briefly mentioned but wasn't explained further... so I'm just trying to put all the pieces of information together. On top of all this, Jae Hyuk seems to be mentally unstable, was seeing a psychiatrist before, is overly obsessed with FL

wow the ex-es show absolutely no remorse or shame... have we ever had such a pair of past lovers in kdramas before?
These two characters definitely rank in the worst of the worst list. Though I think psycho, obsessive and clingy ex-es/stalkers/second leads is a fairly common theme in k-drama land. One example I can think of off the top of my head is "About Time"

iqiyi is officially hosting this
The subs are good and released on time except for episode 17/18, the English subs for that one episode are incomplete and not good quality (grammatical issues etc)

I love this show to bits but Ep. 9 (17/18) was a slog, save for all the scenes with our OTP. They shimmered as…
The iQIYI English subs for 17/18 feel like they are a literal translation of the subs from some other language using Google Translate, that's why they are so clunky and grammatically incorrect. I haven't even watched the latest episode yet, because bad subs can ruin the best show TT

Wasn’t he playing God ?
Hahahaha, the whole drama would need to be rewritten then, one special episode can't fix this mess. Ugh, the product placements were so overboard that I now dislike even looking at fried chicken. How did every single character not suffer from high cholesterol from all the nonstop fried chicken they consumed... Bubble Tea I still like, it looked really delicious.... that anti-aging mask is used as product placement in many other K-drama too, but here it was done too over the top, can't imagine how much money these companies would have poured into the drama for the product placements to take more time than the actual story

Love your comments, I have caught up on previous weeks and weeks of comments in a few hours today, the discussions were too riveting to not read. I also really applaud your effort at explaining the workings of time travel and parallel worlds in this drama in the threads.

"Unexpected anxiety disorder".... Hahahahaha. So on point, you have a talent for satire, the fact that it is 4 in the morning where I am and I would rather keep reading the memes than go to sleep can testify to the fact

me too. i didnt understand how he knows everything
Oh yes, I forgot that part momentarily that the grownup boy was in a few scenes prior as well. In the last episode, they made it look like he grew all of a sudden just when the magic seeds also grew so I made some leaps into the plot on my own to think he must have been stuck at the same age. This drama requires so much theorizing and coming up with explanations from the viewers, that I got too used to making up all kinds of stuff on my own XD ... Thanks for the correction ^^ :)

Wasn’t he playing God ?
Don't blame you at all. It was hinted so hella vaguely. This drama requires too much leaping from the viewer, the viewer is supposed to piece together vague as hell information and make some coherent meaningful info out of it. At some point, I just started assuming a lot of things on my own to make the story make a little bit of sense, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish it. I still don't understand why the kid was so obsessed with the yoyo's string breaking... Is that supposed to be a metaphor for restoring balance versus the balance getting destroyed. Who knows, it is all left up to the viewer's interpretation.

OMG, your and Kimsamsoom's comments are comedic gold, I have been ROFL. Just reading both of your comments is about 1 million times more entertaining than this entire drama. If only there was a show where you could do this kind of commentary on everything, I would tune in to that every week XD

Episode 16 - How will be the final episode !NO SPOILER.(I just repost what I posted elsewhere, but it drowned)
Thanks for this gem, I haven't laughed this hysterically in ages. I think the writer is really something else. No ordinary person could create this many inconsistencies and vagueness, a person would have to try really hard to have everything make so little sense.

Eh? I missed that. Was that JY line when he was stalked from CCTV at the palace?
Yoyo boy is the flute itself, it was hella vaguely hinted at in few previous episodes.

Now the drama has ended, I'm back here again to give my two cents hehe. So, for those who are confused about whether…
I agree 100%. I watched it on a weekly basis, but still had a similar viewing experience as you. The only way I was able to enjoy the drama was by suspending my disbelief and pretty much suspending all thinking. Once you start thinking about the plot, it is hard not to fall into the gaping plot holes. Like in episode 14, Lee Rim's past self killed his future self. so he should have stopped existing in the future, but instead he "ascended death", without any explanation. It's like the writer has never even heard of all the paradox about time travel, which is really ironic, given that Lee Gon is supposed to be a mathematician. Anyways, this is exactly the kind of thinking one has to avoid or like in my case just have a good laugh over it, and then this drama can be enjoyed. I had a really good laugh about your balloon comment. I additionally don't understand why there were pictures and things suspended in air. And if that place was like a vacuum with no sun and air, how did people even breathe in that place and without a sun or an artificial source of illumination, the place should be a pitch black void, where did the light come from, and why did Mr. Mathematician not care about all these breaking of every rule of Physics.
