A Review in 2021- This Drama still succeeds

This drama has an impressive amount of depth to it.

The storyline is pretty easy to follow, but what adds a lot to the story is the characters. For me it's the Cha Moo-Hyuk that makes this drama binge worthy. From the first episode there isn't too much to know about him. He is unlikeable with the things he does, but the reasons behind what he does is heartbreaking. I haven't ever watched a drama with a male lead that has gone through so much pain and is consistent with his attitudes and actions because of them.

Cha Moo-Hyuk is such a complex character, and coming from 2004 it's impressive that this character is still so heartbreaking. The drama is a little outdated with the outfits, but looking past that I see that if this was made in 2021 with the same story the rating overall would be much higher. I know this drama ends in tragedy, I'm watching because with each episode Cha Moo-Hyuk's character is revealed to be more and more tragic.

Moving onto Song Run-Chae, she is adorable but she isn't annoying. Her character is a bit naive, but the focus is less on her and more on Moo-Hyuk. I'm sure she will get more development, but as for now as long as she isn't annoying I like her. She's super cute and Im Soo-Jung is super cute also. As an actress she does a great job, and overall the acting for this drama is on par, if not better than a lot of dramas done today.

This drama is worth the watch, watch it as fast or slow as you want and the impact will be just as lasting.
