The fake parents were actors/con artists. If they got paid, they would have maintained contact with Xu Yan.
Ah yes! That's the one.
It's implied though that the actors have her best interest in heart seeing as if they were only in it for the money, the "father" could have asked Sun to pay him extra or something like that?
Since their's was a business collaboration and it would be best not to be seen together again, I guess it makes sense why they aren't shown together again. It would be too awkward
I’m on episode 11.I know from the spoilers below that he already knows what she’s trying to tell him and keeps…
The thing with love is if you love someone too much, the betrayal hurts just as much? It's quite clear that HM despite how he found Yan's lies disgusting, still craved for her love (the fun moments he creat with her). But because he cannot trust her, he chooses to be blind to her pain.
Since Yan isn't inherently evil (like the crazy sister for instance whose negative nature is obvious), her feeling guilty everytime somebody starts pushing her is natural. HM would rather secretly pay yo get rid of her obstacles than face the truth he believed.
I do not understand why Han Wei Ping was not arrested for kidnapping or child endangerment. It is far-fetched…
He was- they detained him and he lost his license to practice as a lawyer (since this happened before the final events, we can assume this too is probably connected to this and misuse of client confidentiality with the Shens).
It was unrealistic though how he knew where exactly to find HC- even if he followed the driver, it still sounds like a bit of a stretch😅
Guess their hope is that with time, a more mature Haochen will be able to handle his emotions better.I just completed…
I guess that shows just how young and unprepared Haoming was at the time.
He's 32 at the moment and i believe HC is around 10-11 right? So HM was around 19-21 when all this happened.
Honestly surprised that the mother didn't do another test though. Guess she too wasn't as cautious at the time? Specially given that HC's mother was the Heiress of another prestigious group?
is it implied that fanglei and the lawyer end up together?
Not exactly. This is her penance. She knows that the lawyer is a loose canon that could hurt Haochen or the Shens in the future. So by taking him away with her to the UK, she could at least help HM lose one enemy.
Does she truly like him? No idea but it did look like she was warming up to him before he ruined HC's life.
It was a trick - he was waiting for that call to truly burn her. HM is abit sadistic when it comes to his opponents. He likes to marinate them before beating the crap out of them figuratively speaking.
He made her think that he was going to kiss her similar to the way how you coax a fish onto a fishing line.
As for princess carry, TBF, he couldn’t exactly carry her fireman style given her outfits etc and she wasn’t really conscious enough to drag her out. Since she more or less tried to unalive herself, urgency trumps decorum.

IKR?? I seriously didn’t expect them to add the final twist since so many things were already happening. But in hindsight it makes sense seeing as the crazy sister always used HC as an excuse🥲
we thought HM was calculating with a long term vision…turns out the sister managed to even surpass him.
They’ll probably not keep it a secret forever but rather will reveal it to HC once he is older since it’s clear he doesn’t like being lied to and like you said, they can’t control HM’s enemies forever🙈
The funny thing is that this drama was done a while back. Long before this incident. Even when it is said Lusi's…
Haters are low life. They don't care about what's real or what's fake. Taking advantage of 2 artists despair says so much about them than the drama/ cast/ crew🤷♀️
I intentionally waited for this series to be complete before leaving my comment, and now that I have binge watched…
Two of my favourite scenes in the initial episodes include the one where he happily prepared her birthday party deco on his own as well as the dinner dual the two had together.
If he truly didn't love her back then, he didn't have to do these things. If Yan is in it for his status and riches, then he doesn't have to go out of his way to make fun moments together. They didn't even have an audience he had to sell their relationship to. HM created those moments because he wanted to 🙈
I don't get one thing like them hiding the fact from haochen that he isn't there family. Like I know he is a child…
Guess their hope is that with time, a more mature Haochen will be able to handle his emotions better.
I just completed ep 29 and watching his reaction make sense why they kept quiet. It would destroy him to know the whole truth.
From the Shen's side, they need to be more careful on how this secret will be kept this time though. Knowing HM and the way he learns things quickly, wouldn't be surprosed if he already has at least 50 contingency plans 🙈
Seems like you didn't really understand any of the characters 🥲🐒MIL is the mother of an heir to a prestigious…
Sorry, what I meant was that the characters cannot remain the same once their relevant objectives are achieved (like with the MIL- once she was able to trust Yan, she became quite nice and even supportive).
180° change- From what I understood, majority of Haoming's rediculous actions stem from the fact that it's all new to him? Yemin told him to be shameless so he's going overboard with it (based on ep 27, not really surprised seeing as he seems to put a lot of effort in anything he is interested in). Essentially, he can't be his usual cool and suave self if he wants to get Yan to forgive him. She can no longer trust that part of him.
(TBH I've seen/ read too many desperate CEO stories so I guess I'm more used to the jarring change now🙈)
Where did it go wrong. It started as a mature drama with a cold cunning fl and her red flag Husband, her suspicious…
Seems like you didn't really understand any of the characters 🥲🐒
MIL is the mother of an heir to a prestigious group- obviously she is going to be suspicious
FL wasn't cold to anybody who didn't deserve it
ML was a red flag because he misunderstood his wife. He should have realized sooner but you can't blame him completely for being deceptive- she lied first (Yan even admitted it)🙃
Once all secrets are out, you feel liberated (and in HM's case desperate too to save what he lost).
The way they went with the flow no matter what hurdles were thrown at them was pretty fun to see 🤣
I almost felt bad that Yan was being too cold with them in the first episode (hotel room scene after the parents-meetup)🙈
It's implied though that the actors have her best interest in heart seeing as if they were only in it for the money, the "father" could have asked Sun to pay him extra or something like that?

If anything, his worst trait is that he's an overachiever. Every move he makes always brings in multiple benefits (even when he doesn't mean to).🙈

Like the way she kept forcing herself to not smile/ look for HM in ep 27? And god the drunk scene 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I still can't believe how she managed to hang on to HM the way he practically kept tossing her around like a doll🙈🤭
