HELPPPP I'M ACTUALLY LOSING MY MIND šššJust a few days ago, I finally finished a romance drama of my…
Honestly I feel a bit guilty about moving on from Zhou-Lu barely a week after bidding them farewell. Didnāt expect LFY would be THIS angstyš„ (specially considering how even Never Ending Summer was also technically an Angst star-crossed romance)š
Miao Jing hates being left alone. Her mother left her at some orphanage like place, then brought her to Chengyi's…
Itās possible that Yi just regrets because he was there and in his POV he could have prevented it if he had given Mr Zhou a heads up that the gangsters were planning to infiltrate her workplace that night?
Is this drama like Lighter and Princess(when it comes to dynamics between the leads)?
LFY is way better. You canāt help liking their characters. They are very ā3Dā as they both have their own grey sides but you canāt help empathizing with them - specially since their personalities are quite endearing. Jing is so badass and Yi never truly yields no matter how unfortunate things get.
(I miiight be a bit bias though since the initial episodes of L&P failed to reel me in eventhough I like the actors)
I did like how the drama unintentionally acted as a reminder to future stalkers how itās all fun and games until you get tangled up in a crime you cannot explain yourself out of.
(I said āunintentionallyā since the drama kind of glossed over the fact that what he did was wrong to begin with too)
if you are on deathbed, being hunted by crazy goons with knifes.... and someone saves youIs your reaction going…
FR! The price of being a decent person is too high this time š„²
Also out of curiousity, was Yi set up by him the first time when he was nearly mugged of his winnings? As in the grey haired creep orchestrated the whole thing so he can play āheroā and get Yi to work for him?
For the first time in my life, adaptation is better than the novel. I started to read novel cause i couldnāt…
In my experience, where MLs are borderline grey ādue to forced circumstancesā, itās best to avoid the novel at least until the drama is over. C-novels tend to love to romanitcize certain toxic behaviour - at least this has been the case with all drama adopted novels Iāve tried š
Obviously he's an actor so he should be versatile to last in the long run. It's just that in Hopital Playlist and all the seasons/ spin off, his voice emphasised how good and comforting his character was. I just found it interesting how the same voice now does the opposit- it adds to the creepiness of his character in "The Husband".
I just can't get over the fact that they made such a kind and nice guy from another drama be so vile in this. Even his soft, gentle voice sounds rather eerie here
Im asking, is the vibe like Flower of Evil?? what the difference..? i mean the thriller, I really like if thriller…
The vibe is more like When the phone rings only the wife doesn't escape during the first kidnapping attempt and the Husband isn't as formidable/ powerful as the one from WTPR.
It's a thriller since the kidnapper is psychotic and unpredictable/ the husband becomes the main suspect because there's a manipulated video of him orderring the hit on his wife (the guy has no recollection of it).
so i just started it / 15 min in and im like "MAN whatever happens to that wife who cares, shes awfull"…
Ironically, even in ep 3, her flashbacks don't really redeam her behaviour š
Like I understand her pain but it's crazy how she blames everything on him even after so long. If it wasn't for the fact that they keep showing her "real time" scenes, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the mastermindš
Did she come back after he sent her away in episode 11??Anyone please??
Iām in ep 7 at the moment. Basically for reasons not explained in ep 1, Yi and Jing were estranged for years. Based on the taunts in the pool game scene, I am guessing back when Jing was a high school student, she might have almost gotten assaulted/ killed and Yi blamed himself for it and chased her away to protect her from being associated with him. Now successful, Jing has returned to their home.
Iās still going through the flashbacks from their youth so Iām just guessing for now.
Does anyone else not see this as a step sibling romance? Technically, they never were step siblings bc their parents…
TMAI - I was expecting something awkward at the very least before starting the drama because of all āstep-siblingā buzz but honestly there is nothing step about them at all. It was hate at first sight to allies at best. Given their disfunctional family dynamic (at least as of ep 2), I highly doubt Yi and Jing even actually got to have a proper sibling relationship. At best, itās just housemates falling for eachother seeing as the parents werenāt even really official.
Episode 3:Well, that was boring...The restaurant scene, with its two-way angst, didn't seem to serve a purpose,…
Looks like Saeki did not randomly fall in love with Wataru seeing as he was the little girl from the flashbacks. Wonder what kind of angst will be tied to his childhood tho. Will we get another cliche narcissistic paren trope? š¤
I feel like the restaurant scene called out their hypocrisy in a way? Wataru was in denial about his budding interest but was jealous throughout the meal until his friend told him how Saeki get glancing at him. Meanwhile Saeki claims to be happy just being able to share his feelings and isnāt expecting anything from Wataru but in the diner he was jealous enough to lose his cool and it had bothered him enough to bring it up again days later. What do you think?
Itās based on a manga so her actions are similar to her āmangaā persona. I guess itās an acting genre…
Haha TMAI! You normally don't notice this style in office romances š
I think it's because her character has a very dramatic imagination even in the manga as well. The story flows in her pov mostly and their arrangement is raunchy enough to justify her meltdown compared to the tame version we get in the drama.
In contrast, the ML and the rest of their coworkers are pretty chill. So in the drama it's even more obvious ššš
Why would the Board care about their company using dodgy methods to acquire land. This method is used across the…
It depends on the circumstances. In this case, since the Furniture Factory director got arrested for attempted murder, his motive along with whatever evidence he left behind couldnāt be buried (just like he wanted). Aside from the above, ZW already made it clear that she had no interest of being bought off when she resigned from her position before talking to the board. So in this particular circumstance, it was quite clear that the Group might not be able to control the narrative- itās just not worth the risk. It was just easier to get rid of Lu Z since he was the main instigator behind everything.
LXās father anyway didnāt have a strong backing from the board to begin with since it was quite clear LX (a.k.a the favourite) favoured his aunt more, so in terms of damage control, if the Group assists the police with Luās arrest (along with a few more strategies like compensating the Factory directorās family as well as everybody else who was affected by the sabotage), theyāll be able to protect their brand in the long term.
PS: The last bit is just my hypthesis but given how LX and ZW were truly concerned about the directorās family, theyāll probably do something.

Unless somebody creates the discussion group with the link, it will not be added in MDL.

His quiet, calm, and yet popular personality almost feels eerie now š when his dam breaks, we are all going to drownš
