- Loved their ears touching haha that was so cute - I feel like the ML at this point is almost like a mentor to her. He keeps teaching her things for survival, for her to learn in case he gets hurt or she's seperated from him. - I actually felt like the FL humbled herself a LOT when she without hesitation got on her knees and grovelled for a safe space to stay while the ML was injured.
I thing we have to remember she wasn't just spoiled she was almost groomed from birth to believe she was special, she is from a high class family, she was destined for great things etc. Unlike today we don't get to experience what is happening in the world through smart phones and movies etc. So she is literally just experiencing these things first hand - I think she is adapting quite well and will only get better (the way Mrs. Yu anticipated)
I'm up to ep 6. The main FL is pissing me off. Are we supposed to be sympathetic to her plight? Raised with a…
I haven't caught up to 6 yet, but I have a feeling thats part of the journey.
She has a lot of growing up to do, and I am sure she will. The ML is a very good person - which is why he's so patient with her and really with most other people too
I think its explained in episode 2 or 3? I can't remember anymore
I thought it was that + she is deeply resentful of the family. She thinks she has been wronged by them, and wants to get her revenge on the grandma and on the FL (out of spite and envy). And there is mentions of past promises the grandma made to her that has been broken over time. If her brother marries into the family, she will have more power and will have access to more wealth and control the family - and be a much bigger nuisance really.
I kind of get her motives lol....and why the grandma wants to avoid it at all costs.
When I watched the poor people literally scraping snow off the ground to eat, I was wondering if humans need salt to survive.
And apparently we do! Its not just about the flavour additions, "Without the sodium and chloride ions found in salt, the human body cannot function and will eventually shut down"
And I also researched how salt was heavily controlled and taxed throughout history - very interesting!
Okay my problem with Ya Ke is that she was portrayed as the daughter of a great scholar and I just think she's…
Yes!!!! I agree with both of you. Well said.
How quickly she just 'got' over her friend dying was terrible, I was too mad to even realize that part. This is how someone starts becoming morally grey and gets worse and worse over time....
Okay my problem with Ya Ke is that she was portrayed as the daughter of a great scholar and I just think she's so STUPID. Getting swayed by the opinion of her maid left, right and centre and betraying her best friend for a man......
When things start out with such uglyness they can't end up well in the long term, and I hope karma pays her back. I don't think she's a villain, just someone who is stupid, and lacks morals (because lying is lying no matter what - and character is what makes a person)
This man she's all gung ho to protect isn't going to be worth it. Nothing is worth betraying your best friend...
And I get the arguments about she wants to climb up in society and find a good match, and be rich etc. Believe me I get that - but losing yourself and your morals aren't worth that - especially when she had a comfortable life. She wasn't poor or destitute.
There's something obscenely horrifying about the grandma continuously bowing to the 4 men in those portraits while, killing women left right and center.....
I am at the start of the fouth episode still - Ancy's acting in the beggining was so good!!!! Can't wait to see these two now face things together.
I hope your contract with KU is terminated really quickly so you can come back healthier than ever to acting. In the meantime thank you for the gem that is Love's Ambition.
Watching you play such a mature role was truly a masterpiece.
Just finished all the episodes, I absolutely loved it. I don't know if I can remember a c-drama I thoroughly enjoyed start to finish like this in a long time.
I can't wait to rewatch from the beginning once all the eps are out. I prefer to watch this on my TV, and since the last few episodes is only out in Express I had to watch on my phone :(. But I absolutely loved this story so much - and William and ZLS as well as other cast members were perfect for their roles.
Also the chemistry between William and Lusi is on POINT 🔥

Very very true.

I loved the two ML's together and hope they someday have another project together.
Thats what makes this drama so interesting - the layers and the fact its not predictable.
