I still have the final episode to go. But I'm still trying to get my head around the reveal that—ever since the roll of paper hit him while saving Sarasa, Nomoto Eito not only left his body and was replaced by the future soul of Neo Kosei, but that he (Eito) somehow possessed Kosei from that moment (in Kosei's past) and not from the moment that Kosei "died" falling on the stairs. So not only was Kosei not pushed, but his already lived decade disappeared in the do-over which was occupied by Eito. And also Eito comported himself in a eerily similar manner to how we saw Kosei himself had lived (despite Eito's lack of education, motivation, temperament or knowledge of the future.
That's not at all like what I had been expecting. I'm sure the finale will bring additional twists. 🤔
MDL ratings are a joke. They are just for fun and not to be taken seriously. Anyone can vote at any time, whether they've watched a show or not—even long before all episodes have been released. Often it's fandoms who sweep in to bolster or sabotage the ratings. 🤷🏻♂️
I didn't look up what 'gosiwon' means, but I'm just gonna assume it's a submarine! "We're all living in a purple gosiwon, a purple gosiwon, a purple gosiwon…" 🎶
Just finished 13 and I’m perplexed. What was the bus thing? I mean it was all emotional BUT I couldn’t connect…
You missed the scene when Grandmother told Seori her unfulfilled lifelong dream had been to be a bus driver (and not a restaurant proprietor, which she did out of necessity.)
I'm gonna have to stop judging people for their cruel acts when I don't understand the circumstances let alone the full ramifications. For example, If Seori's parents hadn't driven her into a lake to drown, she would never have found her soulmate or her HE. Thanks mom! Thanks dad! 👋🏻
I feel flummoxed by many of the comments criticizing a drop in quality towards the ending because I think this drama has been getting much better and is starting to really pay off with some high notes. I want to ask them, "Are we even watching the same drama?"
This plot kind of reminds me of the anime Samurai Jack…
When Samurai Jack finally got back to the past, he was able to defeat the demon Aku (who had sent him to the future)… but in the future he had also fallen in love with Ashi, the daughter of Aku. Ashi went back in time with Jack and sacrifices herself to ensure Jack's victory. But when Aku was killed, Ashi faded from existence because her father's death in the past meant that she had never been born. And Jack is left to mourn her loss, forever changed by his bittersweet experiences of love, loss, and the passage of time. 😭😭😭
I'd be happy to see Segye visit Mundo in prison, promising to raise the villain's son as his own, and informing Mundo that he will not get to see his child ever again. And maybe also pay some other inmates to periodically remind Mundo that he cannot suffer enough to compensate for what he has done.
I strongly encourage you to watch My Mister (also available on Netflix). Heo Nam Joon plays a supporting cast villain with an interesting character arc who has some amazing scenes with each of the two leads. Besides his performance, MM is an outstanding drama overall, and one of my all-time favorites. And I think most Drama fans would agree MM is a must-watch.
This is Kang Hyun Ju's first TV drama, although she does have a handful of film scripts which have been produced. Perhaps you were thinking of the rookie writer of Perfect Crown, whose script won the MBC contest?
This drama has been prematurely removed from the "Top Airing Shows" list on the MDL homepage. This usually occurs only after the final episode has aired, but not before. I suppose one of the Mods is feeling as frustrated as some of the commenters here!
