I love the FL, she got the face, and love her boyish voice, but her acting needs some improvement, especially…
She's already improved so so much! I watched Generation to Generation and couldn't stand her acting there, and wasn't even planning on picking this one up because of her, but lo and behold, she is actually pretty good here.
The way Ye Li seems fine while simultaneously looking completely out of it in this cobweb-covered ghost town was truly chilling and heart-wrenching. And MXY's remorse and agony, which kept deepening the more he's seen... Bai Lu and Cheng Lei are giving an absolute masterclass in acting these past few episodes.
Seriously, that sort of end for Qin Cang was just too sad; even the brother, as spoiled as he is, knew better…
I really hope so! There's a very thin line between death and tis but a scratch for C-drama injuries, and it looked like the former to me, but now that've pointed it out, it makes sense. My mind went in the direction of: since Tinglan was interested in him, and has expressed her dislike for the Marquis multiple times, maybe the news of his death would give the Trash Dad a brand new enemy to be wary of. But I like your take much better π
Marquis gets a nomination for Trash Dad of the Year π
Seriously, that sort of end for Qin Cang was just too sad; even the brother, as spoiled as he is, knew better than the Marquis π’ And baiting him with the vision of open familial love? Disgusting beyond belief...
(I'm especially bummed to see this character go because I really like this actor. He's done quite a few projects with our genius director Zeng Qing Jie and I enjoyed all of them ππΌββοΈ)
The dance scene was so damn sweet (their chemistry is just π€), and then there's this dread that just keeps pulling at your ankles, reminding you that it won't last... The anxiety is killing me!
When she was helping him with the robes, and his eyes just roamed all over her face... π« If this is how it begins, we'll all be needing some herculean levels of strength to survive.
May I know which drama ji jun xing and fang muyang are from?
And Fang Muyang is Chen Feiyu's character from Love Story in the 1970s; I admit this is not 'modern' modern drama, but it ain't costume either so I included him. If you haven't seen that drama I highly recommend it!
Not gonna lie, 40 episodes for a modern drama makes me feel dread, but I do love Wang Churan, and I've been wanting to check out something with Tan Jian Ci for ages (while waiting, waiting, waiting for Dancing with the Tide) since I've read some good things about him, but 40? Really? But Dazzling did end, so something new can fit right in... Decisions, decisions...
And with the drama finished, we can now officially add Xing Wu into the "ultimate green flag ML" club - modern edition (members include Sang Yan, He Suye, Lin Yusen, Duan Jiaxu, Ji Junxing, Zhang Lurang, Fang Muyang and many others I'm probably not aware of) π
This! I wish I could give you 100 upvotes for this comment.Towards the end of the drama it was the scenes between…
Love all your thoughts on these scenes, truly β€οΈ You made me appreciate this pairing even more (even though I was already thoroughly obsessed with them).
