From what I remember, she said it during Unveil promo, so dunno how'd they fit such a change into her character in s2.

Very pleased to add yet another very solid microdrama actor to my (ever-growing) list of favorites! His performance is always so natural and the way he breathes life into his characters seems completely effortless. When I discover a talent like that I automatically want them to get recognition and hit mainstream, but at the same time all those talents are doing well and fine in a microdrama industry + they keep feeding us with constant new releases 😏

(On a more vain note, tho; when I'm watching his dramas, the thing I wanna do most is sit him down and count all of his beauty marks. They make him look so much more attractive 😭 I think I counted around 10 on his face alone once... Don't even get me started about the one on his ear... Or nis neck... Now I'm pissed off every time someone puts too much make up on him (or filter?) because what do you mean you decided to cover those tiny beauties? How dare you?!)

YES! That's my first drama of his too and such a perfect introduction to him and his scene-stealing powers. By the end on the drama I was more invested in his (and his empress' ❤️) storyline than I ever was in the leads' 🤣

I think this type of character might be my favorite for Chen Si. Sure, he's magnetic as a possessive maniac, he's lovely as a quiet, steady green flag, but holy he nails this teasing, confident, fun and sexy persona with such gusto I never wanted his cocky banter to end.

I'm so so SO happy for him too! He's been a scene stealer in every role I've seen him in; he always manages to choose interesting characters and absolutely nails the portrayal of them. I really hope a drama with an A-lister like Bailu will finally make him a full-time leading man as he so rightfully deserves 🙏

I think it's more that she's not going to do action-heavy roles (like Unveil) for health reasons. Historicals are also riddled with scheming and mind games, so I guess she'll be aiming for those types of characters. Story of Kunning Palace proved that she's great at those, so... 😍

Especially considering MJTY vaulted them both up into leading role status? We're actually getting LYX with Zhang Linghe (most likely) before LYX with Leizi? Be for real now.

And don't even get me started on how expressive his eyes are! I really, really liked him as Ziqi in LGiEF, but ZL is on a whole new level 😍
