I'm also sad it's turning out like that so far. Really, the first half of the first episode was such a ride, I…
This love triangle theme happens A LOT in C and K dramas. They use this as a conflict. It's fine for me if it was developed correctly and the FL is a good actress.
Isn't is a bit premature to assume that's her only role here when her story hasn't even been told? Is she a damsel…
It's not premature to make assumptions ...I am not saying that she will be happy at the end. I am saying that she was added to the team as a female sidekick due to her beauty, not her skills. This is an old cliche. It doesn't matter if she turns out to be scheming or smart (we already know she is smart - she goes the same college with ML) but the writer is still using old cliches - femme fatale ... Both "damsel in distress or a femme fatale" are cliches. Women don't need to be this type of characters any more. They can stand on their own.
Anyways no point to discuss further. It is what it is.
K dramas tend to include cliches ... like the time they had the ML go to Africa to help! This is a cliche happened in the 80s!
I just submitted a review in protest of this drama and the way it's written.
There is so much going on with the MLs and their backgrounds that the writers didn't spend enough time to develop the FL's story. The blending of her into the team is not smooth. Maybe they should have let her join the team in a capacity of a smart girl who has some skills to help out. And then the romance starts to develop as the guys understand her better.
Instead she is reduced to being a cliche female in a love triangle ... It's ridiculous that in 2024, women are still being treated as a sidekick ... she's attending the best college in Korea, she's smart ... I don't see why she is being typecasted into a plot of a love triangle.
And I don't see why she has to depend on a man to move up to a better life???? Unless Korea as a society doesn't give women opportunities.
Disney should re-examine what they show on their channel! So much for their support of equality. The cinderella story is still being perpetuated in 2024!
She shouldn't be hated for that purpose. I dislike the acting, the lack of chemistry, and the undeveloped characterization/plot.
Her eyes and face are expressionless ... If you go back and watch, you can tell that she's trying to act instead being that person ... You can do a comparison (for example the scene where she is being harassed by the gangsters) ... observe Tae Oh and her ... what a big difference. His face, eyes, and body are not stiff. You can imagine ... ok I would have acted like that if I were in his situation.
Cold & calculating? I don't think so... if she's like that she wouldn't have return to knock on his door at the end of eps 2. She has feelings for him. She needs to be showing conflicting emotions and she's not showing it through acting.
It's hard to explain about acting. You have to be convinced that she's that character. So far, she's not convincing as this character, who was abused by her mom, who likes the guy who cannot give her the best of life, and yet she still chose love ....
I usually like this type of conflicts ... and triangle love story ... but so far, her acting is not convincing and not likable for me to be investing in her character. There's no chemistry from her.
The bromance or friendship's cute, chill and relaxing. But a love triangle's simply exhausting. People are just…
More than 50% of K and C dramas have love triangles ... It's one of the typical Asian drama plots ... now the question is how long will it drag on? I think that should be the concern, not the love triangle.

Tae Oh is so expressive ... look at his eyes. He's a natural actor. I am watching this drama because he acts really well. He doesn't look as handsome as other K drama actors, but his last drama (Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow) convinced me to watch this new drama. It's not about stoicism ... it's about expressing emotions through the eyes.
Every drama that is supposed to be out has announced the line up for March already ... pretty much hopeless now. I am watching The Impossible Heir to fill the C drama drought.
So far the 2 eps are good because of the acting of the 2 MLs ... the FL's acting is so so ... no chemistry. The sister is more interesting (more expressions) than the FL. Aside from this, I think issue is more times is needed to develop chemistry. This drama was filmed like a Hollywood movie instead of an Asian one. In Asian culture, it's not supposed to be like kissing without any development. Where did this come from? It's not like she's on a death bed... she's just being threatened. Both MLs overracted. I have to agree with the majority even though I like to watch romantic drama. The FL's involvement and the speed of the emotions make no sense. As long as it's not too violent (K drama tends to include dramatic abusive relationships recently), I will continue to watch.
the legend of shenli is going to air on 18 march [ tencent ] and i do not think it will clash with ABAY ...so…
I just don't understand why they start doing promotions and theme song so early without releasing the drama. LoS just released theme song ABAY released theme even earlier ... so shouldn't ABAY come first???? so frustrating!
