I gave this drama an 8 because I feel the ending is rushed. There are 2 ways to deal with this: either show more interaction between the dream and real life (ie. he talks to her IRL) ... show those interactions or develop the ending more. The ending is rushed so we are left with a few cartoonish abrupt transitions. I think they should show how the ML talks to her during her dream and how she reacts (this is only done at the end).
Show what he says that makes her fall in love him in the dream. The way it's filmed, it's not smooth, more like a cartoon.
I think the rewatch value would have been higher if they show more interactions between the FL and ML ... develop their story instead of showing everything about her thinking. You don't feel that it's realistic.
Well, there's enough evidence that it can be a HE ... the script writer has put everything there that shows that they can be together if she accepts and loves him. This is a BIG IF though ... but in the dream she loves him so maybe it will carry through. In her dream she already worked out that she shouldn't hang on to the first love, ZYL, and the imaginary defender, HRZ.
She already knows that she shouldn't hang to HRZ as a self-protector because she knows she is strong enough with ZXW's love.
She went to the coma with the assumption that NO ONE cares and loves her. She wakes up because ZXW shared that he has always loved her for the goodness in her. He gave her motivation that she can do good like sharing the incense with everyone.
So it's a good ending because there's no need to explicitly say everything.
So...where am I off? There are two dreams. So in the end did she actually marry ZYL and as a result get her family…
I think there is enough context to understand that she will ok as his wife if she accepts him because his mom already sends the blood to help her and allows him to live there with her for 2 years.
I think it's a big hint that the drama shows the scene in which the ML tirelessly changing the incense and the…
This is the perspective of the book, not the drama. We don't know their relationship - made up by script writer. We have to see 30 to know what happens.
I think it's a big hint that the drama shows the scene in which the ML tirelessly changing the incense and the tray of herbs/incense ... If there is no relationship between them, why would he do it personally?
Oh good glad he finally let her go. Something up with the Zhong men. Always wanting to keep hold of her yet she…
The scene I am most concerned about is one in which he left in his carriage and she was still standing road, watching it go. --- this scene looks like in the dream ... they did see each other the last time in the book.
Trailer 29 theory As I said, I am going to skip ep 28 because it's just going to be fillers. I really don't enjoy HRZ's acting (he was really good before the double-eyelid surgery - his eyes were really natural- see 2017 King Is Not Easy - he was amazing there) and the plot is just the same as the book.
Now 29 trailer still looks like it's the book ending ... However, I have a theory that as the drama producer/writer, I would most likely not giving the real ending away as most of the audience right now is just looking for the real ending at the end of 29 or beginning of 30.
The ending might be opposite of what the trailers are showing ... that's just my theory.

I am reading the story and hoping the drama will be broadcast next year.
