Did you give this such low rating because of the plotholes? Because I have the impression you really liked this drama?!? And, I agree with you, Mix is amazing, probably one of the best Thai actors. When I first saw him, his ability to convey deep feelings with his eyes reminded me of Lee Jung Gi.... He definitely needs to branch out of the BL!
Same here: while the first half was really gripping, the second one was utterly disappointing! What kind of profiling methods are used when they are inefficient and the serial killer cases get solved by a stroke of luck: the profilers made profiles of the killers but that did not help in the least solve the crimes! Such a letdown! On the up side: acting, music and cinematography were excellent! Story was not!
Has anyone else been struck by the methodological inconsistencies between two serial killer investigations (ep 4-8 &7-9)? The second is totally illogical! And both times they were caught by a stroke of luck NOT because of their profiling method! What a disappointment this is turning out to be!
So is this the latest GROUNDBREAKING MASTERPIECE, THE BEST BL EVER? First there was ITSAY which lost its no.1 position to Bad Buddy which in turn was bested by Not Me apparently...
Super cute bl to be! Beautiful cinematography and excellent writing and filming. One little problem is the OTT acting by Oak, he should have toned it down (like in NightTime) because he portrays the country bumpkin boy like a total idiot he definitely is not! And therefore the rating of 7.5 corresponds perfectly.... Frankly WEYUProductions are making these lovely high quality small budget movies so well! Just WOW!
Thank you so much for writing this: I did not like this bl either and could not fathom, for the life of me, why people rave about it: Toxic, illogical, zero chemistry, loads of awful acting...the only thing I liked about this drama are the titles of episodes( famous movies!) the rest is just garbage!!!!
The first ever drama I watched and finished was Black : I hated it and couldn't understand weird behaviour or the story so I dropped drama completely for over two years. Than thanks to pandemic and excessively PC/woke US shows, I tried again with CLOY. And I haven't looked back since! It has been almost two years now. I tried to go back to western shows during a slump, but no can do! Totally addicted to Kdrama!
A good watch, draggy second half, very predictable, cute actors, underused female characters, some plot holes. All in all entertaining but you should not use your brain too much while watching! Be warned!
Considering I did not like the manhwa, which I entirely read hoping it would get better but it kept getting worse....
Great article! Thank you for your writings!
