Title Love for You
cen ye never supposed to have a significant role. I guess they mixed his arc with Miao jing's Co worker in novel…
Our strong FL turns OCC at what should have been the most critical moment in their relationship! Dang it! And don't mention CY. OMG

Some of us, myself included, celebrated too soon that finally there's a C-drama where we won't get cliche scenes but nope because here we are again. Better luck next time.

I know I'm the minority but I like these couple episodes on auditing. Definitely showcase that Chen Yi has brains and brawn.

I deeply believe it was for show. Why I think this way? The door was somehow almost intentionally kept open to ensure staff working outside Chen Yi's office heard their argument. As well as saw him wiping his hand. These created an illusion that they can't stand each other when in fact they may have some sort of agreement and are working together secretly.

No it's not about me. You didn't read my original post, clearly. It's about the labels on virgins out there. No stereotyping and we are good.

I am here, too, to watch the drama and look at the comments for any insights I might have missed or don't understand due to cultural differences. I brought the word "virgin" up because there are several diverging posts degrading it when making arguments to those with differing opinions regarding the leads' prior relations. Clearly you thought so as well. It is a cheap shot to label all virgins like that. As mentioned above I am not ashamed of my status and why should I?. Clearly I was trying to bring about awareness that even though it's rare nowadays there are still people out there whether through life choices or whatever circumstances they still retain their innocents. We are as open-minded as any experienced folks out there. You are judging folks who live differently from the norm in society while I haven't said anything disparaging otherwise. We can go back to watching the drama and I am fine with that. I think I've made myself clear enough and will stand by it.

Yes, I am the self confessed old virgin. I have no shame in that. Nor did I say anything about the supposed both ML and FL's past. I am enjoying the drama so far and don't seem to side with any one on the conversation that I am aware of or if you've read more into my post than what I had intended. Just pointing out not to throw the word "virgin" around like it's so kind of disease. Hmm, and upon reflection, you just proved my point. :(

I didn't plan to post anything but I dislike the flippant and snarky comments to the "virgins". Seems no one is defending the virgins that I feel compel to say something. As a real life old virgin myself there is no need to start labeling people and being sarcastic about it. Purity is a beautiful thing; of course as with anything else until it becomes toxic. We all know this drama series is a work of fiction so everyone is entitled to their opinion and how they feel about the characters. The target audience is obviously women, of varying ages. Some are young female with little to no life, or intimate experience, while middle and older with more richer life experiences. Not everyone is experienced and not many are still virgin in the physical sense. Each have different life perspectives. I like to read the different opinions each bring to the table. From personal experience, it is a life choice so please do not throw the word "virgin" around like it is some sort of disease to get rid of. It is not. With the current decline in birthrate and dating worldwide there may be more virgins in reality than in dramaland. That doesn't necessarily mean these virgins are prude but that they ascribe to a different way of living.

With that, please, enjoy the drama. I caught up to episode 16 last night. Drama is great so far, hope the momentum continues.

Xu Weizhou's new military drama, Where I Stand is China, started filming yesterday. He plays the lead character, Yuan Changning, spanning from youth to retirement. Tentatively set for 40 episodes. Congrats!

Have not heard of a continuation. I hope not, I beg them. Season one was butchered beyond recognition, second…
We heard it almost immediately after the first season ended that second part will be film. I personally think the end of this season has a good closure. Plus, this part didn't broadcast well nor accumulated enough online views compared to season one. If there's a third part then good luck.

Congratulations to Xu Weizhou! He won the Best Breakout Actor award at The 4th Golden Flowering Awards yesterday 12/20 in Macau for his role as Bai Minhe. He also won another similar award earlier this year in April for the same role. Congrats! They are not big awards but absolutely a recognition in the industry for his work. Look forward to many more awards in the future to eventually getting best actor. Jia you!

No opinion on other characters/actors. ML is great.PS. Your name looks familiar. Have I seen you somewhere before?…
Definitely! Glad I'm not the only one thinking this way. Xu Weizhou's portrayal befits Pei Xingjian's nobility, military and civil status. Pei Xingjian has a sense of elegance and I agree his acting is very conventional and classical. I'm glad he chose this way of acting. It's very beautiful to watch.

I'm actually the opposite. I can easily lose myself in his character creation. His eyes are quite expressive. Whether Pei Xingjian is happy, sad or calulating it's all readable to me. Maybe his way of acting is very different from the current way many popular actors in costume drama act nowadays. Rather he has a similar technique to olden days of Chinese costume drama characters I'm familiar with. Instead of overtly expressive it's very subtle with expressive eyes .

Not sure too but your name looks somewhat familiar. We may have interacted a long while ago.

Edit: Now that I thought about it, it's not really an "olden" method. I'm not sure if you have seen Nirvana in Fire but it is a good example. Many of the main characters have this way of acting.

Why is it I feel the ending giving a vibe of possible season 3? Or it's just me?
Have not heard of a continuation. I hope not, I beg them. Season one was butchered beyond recognition, second tried hard to restored the novel but still fell short. I think this is it.
