Curious about the love line so I googled "Han Li's relationship" and wiki fandom page pop out. According to the info there, he will have 1 wife, 1 concubine (in name only) and several admirers. Tbh I'm glad they didn't follow what's written there, for example Chen Qiao Qian was supposed to kiss him but in the drama she didn't. I don't think I'll watch it if they make it a harem genre 🙈
So glad I started watching this. I'm on episode 4 now, and despite the annoying mom who keeps getting on my nerves with her overprotective streak (but still sometimes I pity her), I really love the story between Qingyu and Ming Sheng. Seeing that it only has 23 eps is making me happier, bcoz it won't be too short, but it won't be too draggy either.
I was watching this up till a moment ago, then I had to paused (I'm at the end of episode 11) bcoz I feel like something is off. I even rewind the episode to see if I missed something. Turns out it's true, they did skip through the kissing scenes, weren't they? T_T I was expecting so much from this drama, and Wang Anyu is so dreamy and handsome here, got a feeling he'd give one hell of a kiss. Reading the comments, now I'm a bit annoyed if it's really the fl's reluctance that's causing this chop off on their romance.. If so, then why take on the role.. Arrghh.. it's frustrating especially bcoz I'm already half way through..
Despite production errors I noticed here and there when I was making fan edits of this drama, Ding Yuxi’s Shen Du and Deng Enxi’s Liu Niang remain one of my fave couples in cdrama, and I’m really looking forward to their next project together as a couple 🥰
This is one of those rare drama where I feel comforted with just watching the ml and fl relationship. They truly have a healthy one. No obsessiveness, no over-the-top jealousy, no unnecessary misunderstanding 👍🏻
Don't know why there's so many negative comments but I'm four episodes in and I'm liking it so far. Curious about the end so I took a peek of the novel ending and decided to continue. Chen Feiyu is really handsome here, I also like Sabrina Zhuang from LoTCH. For me, there's nothing wrong with their chemistry, so I'll be waiting for the next episodes.
Rewatching the ending because I'm not sure how I'll take it.. I guess it's more like a bittersweet ending (?) It's happy, but with a tinge of sadness, bcoz we know he'll passed away sooner than his family, just like the others beside him, but we didn't know for how long he'll survive. This kind of ending makes it more memorable, but the romantic side of me keep wishing they sticks to the convensional "and they live happily ever after" to make my mind at ease 🙈
The last scene so clever made: Fu Yunxi together with the deads, all in gray and blue and Hanyan with the living…
I noticed it too and it got me worried. I like your description better.. "on borrowed time"... Considering his condition, I'll leave it at that, but at least he can live longer, and I like the way he see it positively, how it'll make them treasure their time together more, it's really sweet and sad at the same time, but that's life.. Let's appreciate it while we can..
