Me too.. This reminds me of The Double, another great drama with almost no kiss scene, but they made up for it in the last episode. Perhaps we can have something like that in this drama too 🫣

Never thought I’d say this about a fighting scene, but the one in ep.12 is so artistically satisfying.

His character is based on classic novels. Based on that, he will have a wife and children. The person who will become his wife appears in this series too but I’m not sure how far the series will explore about their romance (if any).

9 eps in and I love the fight scenes!! It's executed very well imo. And the overall tone of the series kind of reminds me of old school wuxia and I really like it.

Maybe I'll do the same, so it wouldn't ruin my enjoyment in watching the show..

A little bit of both I guess.. From short excerpts I read about DYH, I don't think she fits the character, and so far I still couldn't enjoy watching her act. To me it feels like she's trying too hard (to make certain expressions) that it doesn't feel natural. But perhaps it's just me.

And I think the pattern continues. When they introduce Ding Yuehua character in ep.6, sorry to say, I immediately thought it'll be better if the maid played DYH instead 🤦🏻‍♀️

Forgive me for not being a fan of the casting for Ding Yuehua.. During the flashback introduction, I kinda wish it was the maid who would play her 😭

Tbh I haven't watched any of her drama in full. I've tried several times, but I just can't seem to pass episode 1.

I just saw it, I think you're right, that's Ding Yuehua. Perhaps they spin the story a bit and somehow she ended up as the moon envoy (?). Tbh I'm expecting for a different actress to play Ding Yuehua. I don't mean anything bad by it, she's just different with how I imagine Ding Yuehua would be.

But her name here is Zhang Yue Shi? I haven't watch ep.6, but I don't recall reading that Ding Yuehua is a part of a sect 🤔 although I do wish this drama will include Ding Yuehua..
