Guilty as charged. π€ I have been rooting for him for so long, hehe. Then POJ happened, and everyone and their grandmother got to know how talented he is. π At first, I was ecstatic about his newfound popularity but then delulus found their way into his new fandom which kinda sullied the experience for me and I started wishing he'd remained sorta popular but underrated.
I feel you. Some of the wigs in earlier dramas were synthetic monstrosities. I only started paying attention to them during TTEOTM. Luo Yunxi's braided hair during the first arc when he's the king was really pretty. Li Yunrui's grey streaked hair in Blossom (and recently his shaggy, unkempt, and unruly hair in Rebirth) and DK's silver mane in POJ remain my top favourite wigs of all time, LMAO.

I wasn't in the mood for a drama like "You and Everyone Else", so I have not watched it despite the good reviews.
It already is receiving a lot of flak for the silliest of reasons. Everything is being discussed apart from the plot points of the drama itself.
Since, TOL, I tried watching DK in everything where he had a main role or a substantial supporting role. There was just something particularly attractive about his acting in TOL. π€ Gosh, he was making me question myself in POJ. π That dratted silver haired π¦. π¬ There are many mini dramas where he is a nice guy, or a tortured grey ML. In TOL, he plays this really cute, albeit immature CEO. The overall story is really nice and cute. Also, he looks dang cute even with shaved hair. Heck, I have a thing for crew cuts, and short hair on men in general (which is why I feel that BSC looks especially good in this drama). I think I even prefer that look for DK. π€·π»ββοΈππ€ Tbf, there are very few instances when I find long haired men attractive in real life. Also, you cannot exactly run into Xianxia/wuxia heroes or men from Chinese period dramas in real life. π€·π»ββοΈπ

I DO KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! Tbh, I am yet to understand what happened to SWL in LFY. Maybe he's a director's actor. I dunno. In what little I had seen of him earlier, he was severely lacking, he could hardly emote. Yet, in episode 17 of LFY, he was phenomenal. I really hope SWL keeps doing whatever it is that he did in LFY. I'd be the first in line to watch his dramas. Also, full disclosure, I loved L&P. Fall in Love was my introduction to ZJY, and since then I try watching all of her shows. She's best in grounded, melancholic roles. I adore her. π Also, LFY captured the mood of the period from the late '90s to the mid-aughts so well as also the millennial experience .
So true! I even like the fact that even Soo Bin might have dated in the past too. His response and final reaction…
Basically, most viewers were up in arms about Miao Jing having exes even though Chen Yi was her one true love, and her working closely with Cen Yi despite him being a former flame. They were like Chen Yi didn't have any exes, at least not those who were around him every day.

LMAO, true! However, which drama are you referring to?
I loved LFY. I went from avoiding SWL dramas like the plague to gushing over his performance as Chen Yi. Someone had commented that they prefer SWL to be poor in his dramas, and I agree, LOL. I loved the raw intensity he brought to the role. I had planned on slogging through the drama for ZJY but I fell in love with the drama within the first few minutes. The LFY director really knows how to execute heavy themes.

I totally get it. I love both couples! π
I may be amiss, but I don't really vibe with PJH's acting style. Her characters always seem to carry a sense of lethargy and it didn't help that her character in SYAWT kinda calls for such lethargy. I have come across lethargic characters in other dramas but PJH's rendition didn't work for me. π€·π»ββοΈ
Yeah, KHJ went from playing Junho's sibling to his girlfriend, LOL. Both KH and CWM are doing justice to their roles. I have liked both of them in different dramas.
Yeah, YSL is really nice and has actors I like.
I have been such a long time DK fan, from before he got popular. I had watched him in Taste of Love years ago, and it takes a special kind of actor to leave an impact in a generic, comforting romcom. In SOTPP, he is a sweet lad. None of that intensity like in POJ. π€ DK plays both cute, sweet guys and abominable grey characters with aplomb.

I started this drama because of the cast, especially Hyeri. π Tbh, the first two episodes were decent enough but I watched the next two only because I adore Hyeri's take on characters.
I was skipping through entire segments of SYAWT. Either my mood wasn't right, or the drama was insipid. I cannot settle on exactly why I was bored af. Mind you, I am a SIG fan. π€
I started MB, MB. It's hilarious in a silly, cutesy way. I had watched the FL in JBL years ago in which she played Junho's character's sister and she had given such a muted, restrained and melancholic performance perfectly in sync with the theme of the story. In MBMB, she plays a cute, clumsy yet adorable fangirl with finesse. It's hard to believe it's the same actress. The rest of the cast too is performing their characters well. I am not into KPop at all, yet, I am looking forward to the next episode. π
I am also watching a slice of life CDrama called Yiran's Silver Linings and a CMini, Spring Over the Phoenix Pond (I am a longtime fan of the leads).
They dressed In-youp so terribly. Heβs walking around looking like Fred Jones the whole time. Itβs always…
Your comment made me cackle and I completely agree. The makers totally dropped the ball on styling the leads. Also, the makeup on HIY is horrible, what a disservice...
So true! I even like the fact that even Soo Bin might have dated in the past too. His response and final reaction…
I agree. In my opinion, the drama creators really dropped the ball on styling the main leads properly. Both leads are beautiful people, which is why they still manage to look good despite the strange makeup and clothing choices, especially that of HIY's.

Ahh, your take makes so much sense.
Yeah, KDramas either drag out scenes for all eternity or speed jog past them. π I think storytelling in dramas and movies in general have been gradually losing the art of letting scenes breathe the appropriate amount. π€·π»ββοΈ

Hehe... Poor SYG catching strays during their fried chicken dinner. π€£ It was funny how WSB clocked that OHN had come looking for a fight. π However, SYG addressing OHN as sunbae-nim broke my heart a little. He looked so small. I am glad OHN didn't let it go, and made her frustration at being addressed that way amply clear. I cannot wait for the next two episodes. I am cautiously optimistic.

Exactly. However, I do think this drama could have benefitted from having 14 episodes inspite of the fact that I like my dramas to be as coherently short as possible.
Yeah... Episodes 7 and 8 were my favourite ones. Tbh, they have also grabbed spots on my list of favourite episodes from dramas overall. I absolutely loved the style of storytelling in these two episodes.
I guess. LFY has become one of my most favourite dramas of all time. The irony isn't lost on me given my past assessment of SWL.
I get what you mean about L&P. His arrogance did put many viewers off, hehe.

I can't remember his name either, I only remember the name of the actor playing him. It's Lee Sang Yeob, and that's because I am a long time fan.
I get what you are saying. I guess they were gunning for hobo chic which frankly didn't land for me.
Ooh, interesting.
Fingers crossed. π
