I know that many viewers believe that if Seon U were to fall for Ha Yeong now, then he is basically settling for the second best. However, in my opinion, it's okay if they indeed do end up together because sometimes one needs to pass by certain people to fall for their one and only. His ex-wife and Da Rim are obviously not his "forever". Take Mozart for example, he was in love with his wife's sister who rejected him. He went onto fall for his wife and theirs was a happy and successful marriage. Seon U right now has major tunnel vision. And lets be real, even if he were not to like Da Rim, I don't think he would have chosen a chaebol's daughter given that he is a single father and would certainly not want a chaebol family on his back.

While many wonder why Ha Yeong clings to him, I think she recognises the fact that they are very similar. She talked about how she finds him warm. It may be that Seon U feels the same way about Da Rim and her family.

In English, to address someone, you'd use "you" irrespective of the age or station of the person. In Korean, one uses formal speech while talking to strangers, acquaintances, superiors/colleagues at work, those elder to you or the elderly. Informal speech is usually used between close friends, and romantic partners, or while speaking to younger members of the family, and those lower in hierarchy than oneself, like in-laws may use informal speech to address their sons-/daughters-in-laws.
Sometimes, some people use formal speech when fighting, LOL, to create distance, for instance, during a lovers' spat. I have a soft corner for fictional characters with abandonment/attachment issues. It's very likely that his childhood experiences and his failed marriage contributed to how he is now. It's also likely that his marriage failed because he was too attached to his wife. His ex-wife certainly did a number on him.
Ji Hyeok's turnaround at the hospital was hilarious! His smug expression as he enters Da Rim's house as Seon U watches in bafflement was comedy gold. 🤣
