Same. But even though I don't find the majority of Chinese actresses beautiful, I also don't find them bad looking, just cute. And I can usually tolerate the high-pitched voice and the "cute=dumb" character of many fls. But the one thing that I can't is an actress that has features of a porcelain doll, it's unnatural and it creeps me out. It makes me uncomfortable.
That's why fl here is so rare. She's truly beautiful.
It's up to you whether you believe her or not, but my statement has sources of her interview and not just mere…
She is indeed determined. She said before that when she likes a role she'll tell her team that she wants to audition. I think that's a good attitude to have instead of just waiting for offers or for her company just because she's still young. Even though I replied to you, I also meant it in general because c-ent is quite scary.
She usually has break of a week or more after every drama filming. It was only this time that it was less than a week, still it was her own decision. I think the 4-month break from before really had an impact on her. Maybe she worried that no production wanted her. After the long break she competed with 4 other actresses for CQQ. Fortunately she got the role, but if she had missed it, who knows if she'd be where she is now.
Production companies have her as first choice now and she is being offered good roles in big budget dramas. These opportunities motivates her to continue working hard.
I will give anything with Zhao Lu Si a try, but Lord, I hope she gets a long break after this drama is done filming.…
It's up to you whether you believe her or not, but my statement has sources of her interview and not just mere speculation. Her company didn't even want CQQ for her but she insisted (this was after LOTY with the 4 month break). Then her company also didn't want LLY for her because it was only 2fl, but she liked the role and accepted it. That's why c-kelulis praise her judgment in choosing roles.
I understand the fans' concerns but I think the most important is what she feels. Making her rest long when it bothers and makes her restless? instead of seeing her hyper and happy during filming. If she really wanted to rest, she wouldn't have opened her café on top of her dramas. She’s an employed actress and a business owner at the same time. Whenever she has break from filming, she’s always out or at her café.
Other young people like long breaks from work, but she actually loves her work and enjoys it. The concern should be for her company to protect her better. Since the haters are the ones that's giving her stress (not her work) but that's a different topic.
She said that it's not just about hard work but also luck. Many actors/actresses had been working hard for years but never got the recognition they deserve. And when they do get recognized, it only takes a single issue to ruin their career. Right now she has all these opportunities, she's getting strong/smart fl roles that she always wanted to play, and it motivates her to work harder.

ZLS herself said that she loves filming continuously. Back when LOTY ended filming, she didn't have any project lined up next and the 4 months of break bothered her a lot.
One of the best kdramas, and not just in the historical genre but overall. The acting is good esp. the royal secretary and ml in his dual role. They carried this drama all the way. As for the fl, her character could've been written better. 16eps is enough, it didn't drag and the pacing was right. Overall, I enjoyed this from beginning to end.
It was interesting at first, esp. the focus on the selection process since its not usually shown in most historical kdramas. But in the 2nd half, it felt like something was lacking in the story. Finished it for the ml and fl's chemistry, but even the ending felt rushed.
The Queen annoyed me with her crying and blaming everything on Kang when she playing favorites in the first place. I liked the ending the most. It wasn't rushed, it was proper for everyone. Kang's was poetic. NG's was well deserved. RSG's was for the best. GT was able to travel, move on and come home. And esp. Hwi and JH, happy and finally doing something they both love after all the years.
Overall, JSW was the best part of this drama, and despite the cliches, I still enjoyed it.
is it a happy ending? and who does she end up w/ ?
This is late but in case you still wanna know, yes its a happy ending. It's not rushed but proper happy ending with everything settled. Jahyun ended up with Hwi. Her feelings didn't change nor waiver throughout the drama.
I'm one of the very few that is glad the ml and fl ended up together, because that was the whole point. It would be OOC of ml to have a change of heart after only a few weeks/months with 2fl compared to her years with fl. The ml and 2fl's relationship was obvious to be just friends and nothing else. The ml was clear on showing that.
This was my first drama of the 4 main casts and I enjoyed it.
Yes I almost dropped it because I didn't want to see them break. I totally shipped Oto and Tenma and really they…
Hana and Taishi happens to be good friends in real life too and this was a reunion project for them (shipped them in their previous drama). So I was also really rooting for them and hoped this'll be one of those rare dramas where the 2ml gets fl.
Yes! I'm excited for the drama overall (though trying to keep low for HuaLian because of the director) but I remembered in the novel that XL x SQX in action are "ridiculous and hilarious" plus seeing ZXW and CHS, I can't help but expect.
I usually prefer wuxia over xianxia but I was able to finish this one because of the main cp's chemistry. And the fl is so pretty both in her goddess and general forms. Not pretty in a cute way or pretty in a creepy way, but in a way that I don't get tired of her beauty. This is my first drama of her but there's this sense of warmth from her. Her facial features harmonize well. Overall, I enjoyed this.

Looking forward to this.
It's the reason why I clicked on this article.
Excited for SugiSugi!
The osts are the best part (yes including the bear song).
And my fave of all the FH versions.
The chemistry of the leads is great.

Where art thou Sangqi...
I enjoyed this long drama.
