I'm looking forward to this la.
Most of the actors look more or less the same in character, but ZXW looks so pretty as XL.
I'm setting my expectations low for HuaLian, but I have high hopes for XL x SQX shenanigans.

I tried this drama to see Shuyu as ml.
It was interesting at the beginning but then started to feel the story is lacking.
And depsite the many kisses, I couldn't get into the cp.
Overall, its okay.

I'm cool with flashbacks, or if she couldn't have memories of past lives because of the mengpo soup, then even fragments or dreams would've been okay. Kinda like a deja vu feeling/situations that'll be completely pieced together at the end.

If they really wanted to show the 4 lifetimes, they've could've still presented the other 3 but focus majorly on 1.
Because even before I can get into the love story, it was time for the next life. So there's a disconnect.
Maybe that's why the 2nd cp is the one that got my interest.

I dropped the webtoon but I finished this drama.
The ml is likable despite being cold. The type that knows what he wants/who he likes so he doesn't get swayed or entertain others.
The best part of this drama is ISH as the perfect cast for fl. She embodied webtoon MR really well. From the awkwardness at the beginning to the progress at the end. She had a good character development.
And despite the actors age gap, the chemistry was good.
The osts are good as well.
Lastly, I liked how the drama never showed fl's full pre ps face unlike in the webtoon.

Yeah the writing and execution could've been better.

Angst in couples is painful, but angst in siblings is HEARTBREAKING.

I've already commented here before and already watching other dramas, but for the past days I've only been eating cold foods (surgery) so it reminded me of WenZhou.
Other than ice cream, it's only been cold congee, cold mashed potatoes, etc, and its no fun at all.
I know its just a drama, but I just wanna say if WenZhou is willing to live like that to have an eternity together, then that's ultimate TRUE LOVE.

My basis is from what's trending. They were vocal. Just like you mentioned, saying WL is "forced", yet the blame is on LS, not 10cent. Same thing with YY, that he was forced, yet he and his team got along well with LS. Then now with GJ as rumored ml of her drama next year.
They never considered that maybe these actors/teams actually want to work on the drama/LS.
Also, if 10cent's purpose was to promote her then she would've gotten more than just 4hrs in a 49eps drama. She wasn't even on the shows/promotions and HaoYan scenes were cut.
Not to mention she already has 3 dramas in 10cent's half year top10 and even #1 in vip.

I never wanted to elaborate on this. I was supposed to reply to a comment reply to me when I saw the "really angry" and "hate", didn't expect such strong words are easily used. But I guess its on me for thinking here would be different.

Anyways, no need to worry about rich celebrities and those fans. As long as there's more dramas to watch, on to the next one.

I said "some" not all. I've seen reasonable ones and a few that ship lelush.
I've seen those critisisms but those are character specific. Not gonna comment on that cause I'm no fan of the manhua. I think everyone was on the right roles.
But my comment isn't about that.
I don't mean the general hate that comes with popularity or specific character.
My point is the consistent/target hate on LS herself as if she has the power over 10cent to choose her mls. From QSTX, then XHCL and now to ASLM.

I'm not insinuating anything, I'm just pointing out the misplaced hate and expressing I don't understand the consistent hate. TLB cp feels sure, but YAMG and LOA haven't even aired yet.

The chemistry of the leads is superb.
Finished tne drama because of them.

This was my second lakorn.
Contrary to others, I didn't find the fl annoying because it was the ml that was going after her, fully knowing who she was.
The fl's actually too nice, but I guess it fits because of her identity.
The revenge story and ending was good except for "that" part. I couldn't fully enjoy and will never rewatch because of that. You never do that to someone you love.
Anyways, chemistry of the leads is good. It kept me till the end.

This isn't the first time, same thing happened when YY was announced in QSTX, then WL in XHCL and now with the rumored ml of her drama next year.
So this is definitely not just about the characters/cp.
Just wanna say this isn't about DD, she seems like a cool gal, had good words and got along with LS. And was even influenced by CXY and LS to get a cat as pet.

Yeah, you did say you're past it. But you mentioned it above so it reminded me that I don't understand how some fans of a popular actress hates a newbie so much.

I'm just saying the hate is misplaced. Its 10cent/producers that are choosing the mls of her dramas. But I guess she's the easy target.

And no, I'm not. I've only seen CQQ and TLB randomly.
But I do have a friend that is a fan of BL, BJT, LYX and ZLS so I'm a bit familiar with those 4.
LS is already fl status but accepted Leyan because she liked the character, only to end up getting hate. I might not have been active here but I watched the drama when it aired so I knew of the hate she got from some TLB main cp fans/solo fans fl's.

After the success of CQQ and DITK, 10cent had LS signed 6 dramas with them for the next 2-3 years, XHCL is one of it.

I didn't want to bring all these up, I just thought you were one of the reasonable good ones that can separate the actor from the character based on our previous convo.

Xing Han Can Lan, the previous name of the drama. LS has always been the fl even before it had any ml and official english title, Love Like The Galaxy.

Its unfair to blame LS when XHCL has always been her drama. Her name had been attached/confirmed as fl way before TLB even started.
They're actors, that's how the business is.
But if fans want to be "really angry" at someone for ruining their cp, then direct it to 10cent for naming WL as ml the same time as TLB's ending. Or WL/his team for accepting the project knowing fully well who the fl is.

It's been years, but my heart still hurts for the Yunmeng bros.
Everytime I watch a drama or read a novel where there's two bros (biological or not) or bffs having a falling out because of certain circumstances, JC's "If you keep protecting them, then I can't protect you" echoes in my head.

Anyways, as a novel fan, everything is by the book. And other than the poor cgi, this was a good adaptation.

Yes, there's actually 2 depends on which you consider the 2nd and 3rd cp.
Other than the leads, fl's maidservant has her own cp and ml's lieutenant has his own cp.

I thought comments about the ml's stiff acting and same expression were a bit exaggerated, but uhm, yeah...
Also didn't feel chemistry with the main cp despite the visuals.
The 2nd cp though, they had chemistry and more interesting backstory/development.
