I don't like this producer at all but LYX is here, and from the official photos and leaks I can already feel the chemistry with her partner..

Also the sisters already look like they have good dynamics, ugh..

I try too, but no matter how I'm used to it (manga to LA, webtoon to kdrama, cnovel to cdrama) its hard when you know the source material.

But thats just on the watch journey. At the end, I mostly rate them as a standalone because it will never be the same from one medium to another.

With this one I do have expectations mostly because its Baifern. Everything that I've seen from her since First Love I enjoyed, so I trust her. ^-^

Its been a while since I read the webtoon, its the thing I noticed since the bff was her rock in the kdrama. But that does makes sense with the desperation.

And even though its based on the webtoon/manga (like CherryMaho) I enjoyed the og adaptations a lot that I can't help with the reference. Hopefully I'll enjoy this one too.

Baifern is still as pretty as ever.
The pilot ep was quite fast paced. Though I noticed fl doesn't seem to have a bff here. Or maybe the cool girl will be her later on.

So far so good, looking forward to how this ver. will deal with fl's pre ps face, because it was the best part of the kdrama for me.

I don't know about "mentioned all the time" I'm not on mdl 24/7, but they're both seasonal action-thriller netflix kdramas (that I liked). And SH is there in the recs.

Also I don't hate it. I just expected a sequel, not a spinoff.

S1's ending was fine. There's so much they can do to continue that. Additional cast is fine as long as they don't become the main focus.

The og cast better not be sidelined for the new ones. Because I'm looking forward to a sequel, not a mess like that of Sweet Home S2.

TSL's twin flowers have my heart, sibling bond is my weakness and they both warmed and broke my heart.
AOS2 dragged the amnesia thing but the cp's chemistry hard carried, something I didn't get from AOS.

Relatable, nostalgic, healing and heartwarming, my lifetime drama.
I gave this my very first 10/10 in mdl.

- Many of my anticipated dramas didn't meet my expectations, esp those from the actors that I liked.
- I got into dating shows. lol

7. What is your wish or plan in dramaland in 2024?
- C-ent to loosen up on double male lead dramas. I don't wanna wait 800 years for Eternal Faith.
- Try to watch lakorns/thai dramas again since I had less last year than the previous years.

Just a little note about PH dramas, standard teleseryes are usually long because they air everyday. Short prod like that 10 ep included in the list is mostly from one station only. That station lost their main broadcasting license (tax and labor stuff) so they resort to short/online projects for their unknown newbies (they have so many). The popular and veterans with good acting are in the regular long dramas.
The one on the list with high rating is also rated by only 7(?) people.

The visuals and action scenes were good. But it was so rushed there was no time for anything else other than the fight scenes. No character build up and development. It felt straight to destination, no journey.

Overall, as a standalone its not bad,
but as LA of my favorite anime, it could've been a lot better.

It'll end next week just as TLI starts.

So its really airing soon ah but the holidays is so busy. After MITD ends this will be my main, the rest of my cw dramas will be on hold, lol priorities.

That was a better production than this so its better overall. But the cp's dynamics here is just 🔥. Fl's on top! lol

To me Jun's wig looks like those butterfly hairstyle that girls have. They could've done it like Kiyoka in MHMLA, Ren looked pretty while still very manly. The fringe and long hair moved nicely and wasn't a hindrance during fight scenes.

Same, hopefully nothing else will be as bad as Jun's wig, because I really want this to be good.

The dark tournament happened to be my fave part but I also enjoyed the other arcs, it won't be my fave anime if I didn't like it overall. The reason I thought it will be covered is because its short compared to other animes.

Adapting something from one medium to another won't be exactly the same, but if they made changes I hope it'll work well just like OPLA.
