Unexpectedly good movie
Usually I find Korean movies weird and usually at the end of the film I would ask myself, "what the hell did I wasted my time for?" But this movie exceed my expectation. It is a story that's a bit heavy in terms of the gangster genre but it highlighted the good side of it's plot which is knowing what your happiness is. Once you know what you wanted no matter how simple it is it will give you the best satisfaction in life.For the casting a usually hate Se Kyung because I feel like she's always overacting but given that she doesn't talk much in this movie, I came to like it. I think serious roles are better for her. With the 'ahjussi-agassi' love story I am not too sure if I like it but at least I didn't find it gross.
This is unexpectedly a good movie so I am looking forward for more K-Movies that will take me aback.

Be careful what you wish for...
Seeing Suzy and Won Bin together in a drama already felt like a wish granted, the visuals, the chemistry, the acting? Pure perfection. Both of them carried their roles so well that I found myself smiling through most of it. But as much as I loved the casting and concept, the story itself didn’t quite live up to its potential.The fantasy and psychopath mix was really interesting on paper, but as the episodes went on, some parts started feeling a bit half-baked. There were sub-stories that could’ve been deeper, and moments where I wished they’d slow down and explore more. Still, I love that the characters live in the grey area, not entirely good or bad, just people reacting to their circumstances. It gave the series a layer of realism amidst the fantasy.
It definitely gave me tons of laughs and a few heart squeezes, especially with the ending, finally, a happy one! I needed that healing after Uncontrollably Fond. Overall, it’s a solid watch for the chemistry and fun moments, though probably not one I’d rewatch anytime soon.
📌 Watch this if you’re into fantasy with a dash of dark humor, morally grey characters, and a cast that looks way too good to be real.

The Great Film
I’ve been eyeing The Great Flood since the trailer dropped, and thankfully, it did not disappoint. The cast delivered solid performances and the plot felt fresh and intriguing. It can be a bit confusing at first, like you’re missing a piece of the puzzle, but once it clicks, everything suddenly makes sense and that realization is so satisfying.What I really appreciated is how every detail actually matters. This is the kind of movie that rewards paying attention because you can clearly see how everything fits together in the end. Add to that the outstanding CGI and strong sci-fi execution, and you get a K-film that truly delivers. Highly recommended, especially if you enjoy stories that make your brain work a little before giving you that “ahhh, okay” moment.

Definitely an upgrade from Season 1
This the second season of Busted and it was really a great upgrade from the first season. The story is still connected from the first season but it's independent on it's own. There's a new plot line to watch for. The episodes are really upgraded from the previous season and it can still wrack your mind because when you're about to make your guess and be confident about it you will never be too sure until it revealed what's true.Changes on the cast didn't affect much in terms of the excitement. The new characters were as good as the previous cast that left. The guests are still high end like the previous season and keeps you from wanting more. The comedy is still there but the mystery will keep you on your toes as the plot twists are unpredictable.
I'm already waiting for the third season. Full season from Season 1 is highly recommended.

Not Every Game Needs a Loud Ending — And That’s Okay
Squid Game 3 might not hit with the same explosive impact as its first season, but it lands exactly where it needs to. While some viewers expected more twists or a grander finale, I personally found the ending just right — bittersweet, tragic, and reflective. It stays honest to the story’s core: a man who refused to lose himself in a system designed to break people.The emotional weight might feel lighter this time around — maybe because by now we know the rules, or maybe the writing didn’t push quite as far — but the quiet symbolism stuck with me. Watching the main character stay true to his principles, even when he couldn't change the system, was deeply moving. It felt like the ultimate act of resistance. I couldn't help but see the game master as a mirror — someone who once stood for something, but let the system twist him into something else.
That said, I still feel Squid Game told its strongest story in Season 1. It had the rawness, the shock, and the emotional pull that didn’t need a follow-up. Seasons 2 and 3 had their moments, but nothing quite matched that original impact. Still, I respect how it closed—with conviction, not convenience.

I don't even know what I've just watched
I want to start this review by saying that I am not really a fan of horror/demon slaying movie or drama. I do watch few whenever I need something different from my usual genres. What I say in this is purely my opinion.First of all, I do get the logic about the legend of the eyes but that's all about it. I didn't understand what's the story even trying to say.
Why are there police? Why is the archaeologist obsessed about the legend? There were lots of things that doesn't makes sense. Don't get me wrong though because I am not sure whether it's because it's not really a genre I am used to watching. People who loves horror and thriller might like this, I am not so sure.
The only good thing I see on this movie are the familiar faces and the sound effects that were decent enough to make an eerie vibes throughout the movie. I just literally pushed myself to finish it just because I started it anyway and a slight hope that the ending will somehow give justice to the movie. Unfortunately, that's not the case. If you want to watch it then you can and if you find this movie enjoyable, please leave a comment or start a thread to let us know which part you enjoyed as we might have missed it along the movie.

Heartwarming movie amidst a natural disaster
'Ashfall' is a movie that portrays a disaster caused by Mt. PaekTu's eruption which greatly affects both South and North Korea. It's pretty similar with those tsunami or earthquake movies wherein of course there's a disaster and there will be someone who will save the day. The plot is pretty much the same to others. What stands out here is the set of cast and the small details inserted on the plot.First of all, the casts were incredible in their roles. I actually enjoyed seeing a bromance in the movie and it made some scenes lighter than compared to the issue they're actually facing. I also love that Lee JoonPyeong and Choi InChang's character had deeper emotional involvement about the eruption. A little downside on some scenes that are hard to believe like how they try to steal from North Korea and on how the hell they were able to enter a mine despite the eruptions.
Overall, I liked this movie because there are also side stories that were involved and not just all about the eruption. This will keep you on the edge of your seats and will surely make you cry in the end.

This movie made me angry… in a good way
I’ve been seeing Shin HyeSun everywhere lately, both in dramas and movies, and honestly? I’m not complaining because she keeps delivering every single time. Brave Citizen shows another side of her again. It’s funny at times, frustrating most of the time, and weirdly satisfying in a “I know this is wrong but also… deserved” kind of way. The situations in the film feel upsetting because they’re believable enough to reflect someone’s real life nightmare, and that realism makes you root hard for the victims.The story itself isn’t some groundbreaking masterpiece plot-wise, but it works because it feels relatable. The bullying, abuse of power, and helplessness hit close enough to reality that the emotional payoff becomes satisfying. And yes, logically speaking, answering violence with violence is bad… but I’d be lying if I said seeing bad people get a taste of their own medicine didn’t feel cathartic. Sometimes fiction just lets you release that bottled up frustration safely.
I’d say the pacing leans on the slower side since it spends time building things up, but once it gets going, it becomes a really engaging watch. It made me angry, entertained, stressed, and weirdly fulfilled all at once. Definitely worth watching if you enjoy stories that feel grounded, emotionally charged, and just a little bit rage-inducing.

Time travel with happy ending
Queen and I takes me straight back to my younger self, one of those OG K-dramas I first stumbled upon. Funny enough, the Tagalog dub made it even more hilarious, so watching it in subtitles feels slightly tamer but the charm is still there. Time travel can be tricky with all the butterfly effect chaos, yet this one keeps things simple and satisfying: happy ending, minimal complications, and while it’s a bit less believable, it’s totally watchable.Seeing it through adult eyes actually made me appreciate the depth I didn’t catch back then. It’s still a feel-good ride with just the right amount of drama and romance, and it breezes by quickly without dragging. Perfect for a short binge when you want something light, fun, and nostalgic.

Garden and plot that never bloomed...
Lies Hidden in My Garden had all the elements I usually love: mystery, tension, psychological thrill but somehow, I just didn't love this. It’s short yet felt like such a slow burn that never really caught fire.I got excited once, thinking things would finally pick up but nope. It ended up more like watching grass grow in that garden. Aesthetically and tonally, it’s intriguing, but narratively, it’s a letdown.
If you’re looking for a psychological thriller that keeps your heart racing this one might not be it.

When Law Meets Heart
Good Partner was unexpectedly refreshing. It’s been a while since I watched a law drama, and I really loved how this one wasn’t too heavy. It’s heartwarming yet realistic, showing different sides of divorce: some bitter, some empowering, and others just complicated. It reminded me that divorce, like life, isn’t black and white. It’s very much a grey area.Seeing Jang NaRa and Nam JiHyun again was such a treat, both total queens and complete badasses in their own way. I also appreciate that romance wasn’t the focus here, it’s more like a small sprinkle that adds flavor without overpowering the main story. There’s even a hint of light makjang energy that made things even more entertaining.
Overall, Good Partner surprised me in the best way. Despite touching on crime and legal themes, it still felt comforting and human. It also pushed me to explore more genres outside my comfort zone because who knew legal dramas could be this warm and full of heart? 💼✨

The only zombie dancing to BOA's No. 1
I can’t say enough good things about My Daughter Is a Zombie. This movie made me laugh, cry, and nearly explode from the emotional roller coaster toward the end. Seriously, my heart was not ready (and my hands are tied, so you’ll have to watch it yourself to know what I mean 👀). It’s heartwarming, hilarious, and surprisingly deep, a perfect blend of hope, patience, and the reminder that family and friends are the greatest allies we have.Jo Jung Suk has officially become my go-to actor. His comedic timing, expressions, and ability to switch between funny and heartfelt moments are just unmatched. I genuinely couldn’t get enough of his antics here. And Ae-yeong the cat? Absolute cutie, a small but adorable bonus that somehow makes everything better.
This movie hits all the right notes from funny, emotional, and meaningful without being heavy. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who needs a little laughter, a few tears, and a warm hug in movie form. 🧟♀️💖

When the Second Lead Finally Got the Girl (in Another Universe)
She Was Pretty is another one of those nostalgic comfort dramas that somehow feels both familiar and brand new at the same time. Watching it again was like reuniting with an old friend with same laughs, same warmth, but with fresh eyes.The second lead syndrome here? Absolutely real. Although in Kill Me, Heal Me, I really rooted so hard for Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon to end up together and this drama feels like a parallel world where my wish came true.
The story itself is your classic rom-com setup, a bit predictable, sure, but undeniably fun and feel-good. Choi Siwon completely stole the scenes for me. His chaotic, prankster energy added so much humor that I couldn’t stop laughing.
It may not be groundbreaking, but it’s light, refreshing, and comforting, the kind of drama you reach for when you just want something that makes you smile without thinking too hard.

A classic K-Drama from 2014
This one has always been recommended to me by a lot of friends who watch K-Dramas (plus D.O is here sooo...) but I put this on my watch list long long time ago that happened to resurface after I watched a clip of it and I am not disappointed. This a pretty good drama, and one of the classics, too.The storyline is unique than most I've seen. I actually thought the format would be like 1 mini story per episode and a 1 overall big story but it wasn't like that at all. It's mostly just us watching these different characters living in one house and their relationship with the people around them and their traumas and mental health struggles. It's pretty cozy but at the same time it sends my emotions into a roller coaster ride. One time I was laughing, next, I was crying, then I was cringing and then I literally stood up from my seat. I enjoyed it very much. Jo InSung and Gong HyoJin is great actors and actresses but I don't see much chemistry on them. They did great justice for their roles here though. For some reason, KwangSoo looks dumb and a jerk (plus cringe) here but maybe I've watched too many Running Man episodes that I can no longer unsee his foolish side in RM.
One icky thing that I cannot overlook is the depiction of mental health disorders -- Tourette's syndrome and schizophrenia don't sit well with me. I just feel like this is not the best depiction or representation of the disorders but it was 2014, and maybe mental health wasn't a trend back then. Other than that, everything is great for me. Also, loved the concept of self-love and self-appreciation and seeking help when needed.
The OST for this drama is on my playlist years before I watched it which only means I love it way way before. I probably won't re-watch this on the foreseeable future but I am glad I watched it. It's one of the classics that you should watch at least once.

4 cryptic and poetic storylines
It's a really short watch but it left too many questions in my mind that I'd probably think about for months. There were 4 completely separate storylines which is really mind-boggling. Also, I realize this type of things is not my cup of tea.I would say there might be a lot of depth on this anthology and I've read quite a few review and critic and I'm so amazed how other people perspectives varies and it definitely help me appreciate this more.
If I'd be completely honest, if I just watched it without reading reviews or critic about it, I'll be just completely lost and think wth did I just watched? So maybe if you're the type of person who thinks really deeply, you would like this.
Also, I love seeing IU portray different roles and totally nailing it. It was just over an hour so I'd recommend it (also reading reviews and critics that will help you puzzle some pieces together.)
