At this point, Ep 5 isn't even a want, it's a medical requirement. 😂

To me, it's incredible, but set your expectations right. It's a dark, moody supernatural mystery with amazing atmospheric storytelling. Not a lighthearted slice-of-life show. Very focused on tension, subtext, and a high-stakes dynamic between an immortal captain and a rookie cop. If you like dark fantasy noir with deep character layers, highly recommend giving Ep 1 a try!

I believe he won't. We've seen how he is. James isn't built to sit back and pretend he didn't see something. He's hot-headed, gut-driven, and relentlessly persistent so he'll try to cross boundary lines by testing Ken, watching his reactions, pushing for answers while Ken will be on a high-alert mode. . But I see this as him trying to protect James from the curse by pulling back, even as James aggressively closes the gap. He might be confused or overwhelmed by what he's sensing, but turning a blind eye or treating Ken like a total stranger is literally impossible for him now. He’s hooked, and Ep 5 could be where he starts actively chasing the truth.

Dude .. all -caps yelling while lecturing about 'objective standards' and telling me to calm down is pure comedy. You are funny. Rest easy now.

Never thought I would be moved by a vertical series. It makes me realised the things I've taken for granted.

"Needs to be practiced and learnt" - okay, so where are actors actually supposed to learn if you claim they "don't deserve the roles" the second they aren't instantly perfect? You can't preach that acting takes experience and then throw a fit the moment you have to watch someone gain that experience.

And literally who is forcing you to like the shows we like? Nobody cares if you drop it. What people are actually calling out is you treating your personal taste as some objective standard of "skill" - and then crying "entitlement" when everyone points out how flawed your take is.

Ah ok. Might be intentional for a dark supernatural thriller. A smooth, static camera makes you feel like a passive viewer watching a cozy show. But Nour uses handheld, guerilla-style/restless framing to trap you in the character's paranoia as things unravel. The zooms mimic human eyes in a high-stress situation. If it gives you a headache, or make you uneasy, it's because the characters are uneasy.

You can physically see the power dynamics at play and two centuries of built-up restraint completely breaking down in real time . Intimacy in a dark fantasy noir is about emotional narrative and psychological weight, not just performing physical mechanics for the camera.
