As someone who doesn't know a thing about Mahjong, I'm quite surprised that I actually enjoyed this. The acting is superb. Kanata is so good as Akagi, his deep and occassionally mysterious gaze really fits the character. Washizu is scary, yet comical and entertaining, his monologue often makes me laugh. I think I'm going to re-watch it to get a better understanding about the mahjong play.
