I never thought I would say this about a series, but the American version was way better. It's called Somewhere Between and it cuts the surplus characters making the story more streamlined and impactful. Plus there's much-needed romance!

" his personality and communication style just seems like a bad fit for her emotional needs." EXACTLY this. Yumi values expressiveness, and warmth we've seen that in the previous seasons. She's in a stable place emotionally so it doesn't seem real to me that she's going for someone who doesn't show his feelings and treats her coldly. I too empathize with him, they have done a good job of showing us his interiority, but they are dreadfully mismatched.

Though i LOVED the show, it doesn't really go deep into why age gap relationships are discouraged in korean culture. Something in the Rain offers a more realistic view, even if it's fiction.
