My guess it, that they give the ex more story as a canvas to show, what made Qin fall in love with Duang. And the answer to the question in the preview should send pink bear packing. Literally and figuratively.
That drama delivers in all aspects like “The Vendetta of An” did imo. Storytelling, pacing, cinematography, soundtrack, acting. Everything is working. Only difference, while on same level of excellent: This show feels more popcorn, while TVOA felt more epic.
She’s in her own way deranged too. She is all about the bloodline. That was the main reason for her help. Earlier she had proven already, that she has no issues with cruelty, if it’s helps her Qi Min.
They made her character a formidable fighter. The fight choreographies are excellent. My compliments to the actress. That takes work, to look so skilled.
At the beginning they showed Khem as a character, who is gentle and caring, and who takes action, if necessary. Only to downgrade him later to a mansel in distress, who plays more or less a sitting duck, while the story revolves around him, instead through him. I missed the Khem from the beginning during the last parts.
Yes, and I also was confused early on with so many young men with the same hair and facial lines and outfits,…
Tysm for your explanations. 👍🫶🏼 I don’t need necessarily romance in a drama. I recently watched multiple dramas with none or sparingly existing romance. My main reason for starting this drama was Zhou Yiran, since he is one of my favorite actors. But while I like his acting and his chemistry with the fl in this drama, I think I will sit this one out. I read through the comments below and I got the impression, the storytelling of this drama won’t be my thing even if I keep watching.
I hope, I didn’t dim your enjoyment with the show. Taste differs, and I am happy for everyone, who has fun while watching this drama 🥰

So, it does have a central plot? I started episode 5 and until now I don’t know, what the driving plot line of this drama is. Lots of people and sects, which have obv open or hidden beef with one another, but what is the main plot?

To assume, she wouldn’t roam the country looking for her sister 🤦🏻♀️

That was out of pocket too.
Both women are survivors, who are using their individual capabilities and means to protect others and themselves.
The fight choreographies are excellent.

And then they insert such clumsy ad moments 😅
Well. Money needs to be made, I guess.

Story great.
Acting 😘
Dialogues 👍
Well made all around

Loved how they concluded the different storylines.
