Truly the trifecta of trash behavior, never helps around the house, never helps with raising his daughter or even spends time with her, has his parents and family living under her roof so she can serve as their maid. It even seems like he might be cheating like... He saw the bare minimum and went I can do so much worse.

Right? He has done so much and they haven't even started dating. I really hope Sa rang does the same for him, especially since he's never actually been loved by anyone even his family and yet he knows how to be so loving and dedicated to her.

Lee Jun Ho, the actor that you are. Looking at her like she hung the moon 5 times an episode, biting his lip, trembling in the middle of a kiss, truly unmatched behavior.

I don't think I have ever seen a ML go this hard in a romcom, Gu won has truly been doing the most since day 1, caring for her needs, wants, comfort, safety and happiness in a 1000 different ways. I can't wait to see Sa rang doing the same for him, showering him with all the love he never got, supporting him through what is sure to be a nasty fight for the company and in his search for his mother. I want to see them stay together and fight for each other no matter what comes their way.

Let's hope this isn't going be something to cause angst and they give us the usual ep 12-14 break up, I want to see them supporting each other until the end.

I agree, a lot of people are usually too harsh on female leads. I'd like to think that personally that's not how I behave, because 99% of my favorite characters are female leads and I literally have a list here where I put the dramas I watched where they gave us more than one female character that was interesting and written like actual human beings. My issue is when I'm watching a fictional love story, I like my otp to be ride or die, as in fight for each other against all odds and protect each other etc, I like my women to stand up for themselves and what they want and I've noticed sometimes there is this weird trend when you have a couple and the ML is doing everything to be with the FL and she's being so passive and it annoys me because it feels like they're infantilizing us, like women can't possibly be as proactive and fight just as hard and it makes the entire thing feel unbalanced. I'm gonna try and reserve judgement for this story until I watch It, I was just excited because it seemed like exactly my cup of tea, I even commented earlier here that I wished they'd focus on the female lead and them as a couple more when there were rumors that they're going to turn it into a male centric show.

I am happy to see that SZ has such a good support system, her parents and her brother who spoil and love her unconditionally, the truth is she's lived an incredibly privileged life. The contrast with DJX who has been through so much as a kid, more than most people go through in 3 lifetimes. Having to see both his parents essentially dead, having to pay off so many debts, having to take on his father's crime, this is not even counting that he has no one to support him or care for him or pay for his school or his food. He breaks my heart so utterly, which is why I can't wait for SZ to all take love and support she got and pour it into him, enough to compensate for all the hurt and pain . From the trailers it looks like we're going to get quite a lot of that in the upcoming episodes and thank god because although he doesn't show it he's so broken and alone and he deserves it and so much more.

My opinion is my own and it's based on me reading extensively about the events that actually happen in the story and I mentioned that the quote was written by the translator because I found it funny how they had a warning label , I wasn't trying to pass it off as my own. And that's okay, you're allowed yours, I'm allowed mine and therein lies the beauty in how humanity functions.

This drama has been slowly growing on me, there are quite a few things I appreciate it about it so far:
-The FL is competent, she works hard, learns languages, adds special touches to guests stays, thinks quick on her feet. She's also kind, warm and loyal .
-The ML despite initially seeming like the cold cliche, is someone who never holds his power over people, he treats everyone with respect and actually tries to use his privilege to help people.
-The side characters are great, her friends and their stories are interesting, his secretary is a hoot as well.
-The physical comedy from Jun ho is top tier, some of his reactions to her are hilarious.
- The direction and cinematography are beautiful.
- The romantic cliches are a hoot, sometimes you just need a girl tripping and a boy catching her as they stare deeply into each other's eyes.

I just wrote what the translator said but I'm guessing it's not about that at all, I've seen a lot of people who read the novel and dislike her and it's regarding how she treats the male lead. Also everyone is allowed their opinions, if the translator felt that way about any aspect then that's their prerogative. They're just fictional characters, ink on paper, whatever anyone's feelings regarding them...

I was very excited about this show but after reading about the story from the novel and the female lead's actions and how horribly she treats the male lead, that excitement has turned to dust. The translator's note was hilarious and sums it up perfectly " Reminder:The female lead is quite a scum. Please enter with caution."

The absolute insanity of holding a child responsible for their father's actions... Even his own mother promised his life in service of the victims. The fact that Sang Zhi is the first person to tell him that it's not his fault is such a beautiful thing. After so much heartache and suffering he finally has a person who will defend him, protect him and put his well being above all else, truly peak romance.

Can I ask how she deals with everything, because in one of the trailers it seems like she's out there defending him to everyone, her brother, her parents etc and protecting him and I love that vibe, I hope that's how it plays out in the show.

The ML breaks my heart, he's had an incredibly hard life with no one to depend on and yet he's such a beautiful soul. There's nothing I love more than a character who's so broken and alone and has no one and here comes this person who will love them so fully and unconditionally, enough to make up for all the hurt and pain and I cannot wait until that happens with these two. It's what they deserve.

I love me some romcom clichés, it's been a while. The misunderstandings, the bickering, the dual moments when they're both struck by each other's beauty, sometimes it's just nice to sit back and watch something fun that doesn't take itself seriously, the value of art is contingent on what it bring us, be it intellectual stimulation or just plain entertainment.

You know the drama landscape has drastically shifted when a fun romcom is a breath of fresh air instead of the norm. Just because something is darker and more "serious" doesn't make it better or more profound for that matter and we've had an astounding number of deeply mediocre and substandard thriller and crime shows over the last few years to prove it. We should all be aware by now that all that matters is the writing and the execution regardless of the subject matter or the genre.

I have no idea, it's frankly getting irritating he's being very manipulative and she's letting herself get played like a fiddle and the fact that it's most likely going to end with them all being friends after all the shit he pulled pisses me off even more.

I watched a preview for ep 22 and I cannot believe we're still dealing with the third male lead and his bullsh*t. I'm so tired, he needs to f*cking stop.

May I ask which dramas are you reffering to when you say many of the best dramas are netflix originals?

It has been a while since I've been so incredibly annoyed by a second lead, the audacity and entitlement are baffling, as if he's owed her love because he's been by her side for years, when the entire time he had hidden motives and their interactions were all based upon the fact that he was expecting something from her in return either now or in the future, the ultimate nice guy (tm). It doesn't help that the person portraying him unfortunately imo can't actually act so none of the emotions and heartbreak he's supposedly feeling come off as believable.
