It's impressive the amount of postings here for WOH, and almost all complimentary. Feel like the ratings should be above 9. It's 8.8 at this moment. WOH JIAYOU!!
Ok I replayed that spectacular display of ZZS's superb upper torso many, many times! Tsk, tsk, tsk my poor foolish…
LOL. Which ep is that? I'm still just at ep15 sub. But have been 'venturing' the raws. I'm at ep 20 raw now, I don't think WKX fell off a cliff yet. Saw ZZS's upper torso thought, with Ye Bai Yi there.
I'm watchimg ep 20 raw, couldn't wait for subs lol. But I'm having problems figuring out certain parts. So who is WKX's father? Is WKX's father one of the 'martial art brothers' of ZZS's teacher? Who are thoses men in black who tried to kill them ? I don't mind spoilers. Thanks !
That's kinda selfish though. Every minority deserves representation. LGBT community in China deserves their love…
Yes, I understand your point, and yes I realize where my mistake was.
I was thinking about this more, and made additions to this post:
To clarify, the 'subtleness' to me was not something shallow as in it being 'entertaining' though. To me China was able to show, and achieved beautifully, deeper MM love without the productions being BLs. That's why I love CBros and don't want it to fade away. But I'm aware your comment was meant in general, rather than specifically towards me.
Nevertheless, I see your point, and I did make a mistake thinking to avoid the discontinuing of Cbros requires keeping the censorships. At the same time, I did not connect the censorship with LGBTQ+ in China until I read your first reply, that was insensitive on my part. Also, I think the way I worded, the lack of thoughtfulness, sounded like I was saying China's acceptance of LGBTQ+ is less important than Cbros. I'm thinking this is probably the most 'hurtful' out of the 3.
Regardless, I can see the details where my post went wrong now.

Oh I see what you mean. Apologies.
In my mind when I said it, I was thinking of the chinese bromances will be the minority in the midst of Chinese BLs and all the current BL productions in many other countries. Mainly because it seems pretty much only the Chinese produces bromances, while many other places concentrates more on producing many BL series already.
So my point was more about I don't want Cbros to phase out, less about taking a stand on censorship. And I was definitely NOT thinking of being against or dismissing the LGBTQ+ coummunities.
That's where I was coming from.
Where I think I made a mistake was, I worried too much that Cbros will not continue to be produced with censorships lifted and CBLs become popular at the same time. And more importantly, I did not pay attention to the reason of the current censorship, which stemmed from LGBTQ+ being unacceptable in China.
So yes I agree, for those who's stands are against the censorships, and for those in LGBTQ+ communities, my comment could have come across as 'rejecting/not supporting' their values.
So apologies again. I was not being thoughtful.
But I wasn't being malicious, please do not view it that way.
You know, part of me don't want China to open up their censorship requirements. I really love C-bromances and to me China does it fantastically. Especially the wuxia genre bromances, to me they are unrivaled. The bromance themes, with or without the bolder hints of BL, is unique to the Chinese productions, I think. And it gives an wonderful charactoristic/identity. I love them. If CBL becomes acceptable/popular and Cbros start to phase out, I think I'll be sad. Hope there'll still be enough demand for Cbros once/if CBLs is approved, so it'll never 'die' out.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE KBLs. Love YMMD as well. But tbh, I'm not knowlegable with dancing. Although CYW's dancing looks good to me, I'm not able to relate and my limitations did not help me appreciate him as much. Other than that, I love the story, it's really sweet. Even the loan sharks and the female shark boss came across as nice and sweet LOL.
I feel like S. Korea is getting bolder and bolder after every new BL drama, not that I'm complaining :P
Agree. The intimate scenes in WYEL, which are just the bit before HTJ left for England and the ending kiss, are pretty mild comparing with the ones here. But I think YMMD is still mild comparing to some of the ThaiBLs, the Taiwanese, and the Japanese ones. I actually like that KBLs are milder that way. Gives Korean's productions a different feel, allowing an identity that stands out and stands apart from the rest. At least to me.
from the trailer I can see that jk is actually so happy there :)
Thanks for letting me know! I went and googled the trailer, and yes, they look like they are enjoying being there. This ep 99 will be my first time watching YQOTB. Looking forward to it :-)
It looks to my FYJ ends up with YXS, right? FYJ is the stalker? I'm a bit uncertain about the concept of a stalker succeeding in getting his 'target', that stalking is perceived as "OK/acceptable". But I think the context here is that they are step brothers? I'm not sure how Taiwan's views are with romantic love between step siblings.
In ep 1. I thought TMR was funny when he said morning coffee is bad for the stomach. I guess my stomach's full of holes by now LOL. TMR has a very unique look, reminds me a little bit of James Parsons.
Great chemistry between ALL the couples. I'm loving this series. I find Taiwan BLs generally have very good chemistries between all the couples, not just the MLs. And they are open to more physical scenes, which are very "hot" yet comfortable to watch, instead "dirty" or "vulgar".
THANKS^8. (I know 8 is a good omen in Chinese, the 8 was for you. Thanks !)
