Contract marriages are evidently much less controversial than age gap stories! Lol.
Possibly? Si Won's wife was a very minor character as far as I got. I don't think she was seen or even named. So at this point we can only guess what direction the show chooses with Mi Jin. Maybe they were arranged by their parents, maybe they chose each other because there would be no family opposition for them to ignore their marriage and live their own lives.

Title Cinderella at 2 AM Spoiler
I'm curious about the comments below... why does everyone seem rooting for the second couple Seo Si Won and Lee…
Admittedly, I've only read the first 40/50 chapters but from what I could tell there was very little about Si Won and his wife in the webtoon. Basically after a failed attempt at rebellion with another woman Si Won ends up marrying someone his mother approves of. And they seem to be happy together. But just because it worked out for him, he doesnt necessarily support the mother's schemes.

So I think the excitement for Si Won and Mi Jin is mostly anticipating its potential. It seems like it'll be a contract marriage plot which people enjoy. Then there's the fact that Park So Jin and Yoon Park were recently paired together in Delightfully Deceitful and they had pretty good chemistry there.

tempted to tune in only for yoon park and park sojin... i loved their chemistry in delightfully deceitful
Same! Especially since the promo pictures show shades of a similar dynamic to delightfully deceitful where he looks at her in confused bemusement, lol.

Title Good Partner
How are these cheaters so shameless? What kind of delusional world they are living in to believe that they can…
Right?! Even if Eun Kyung hadn't found out about the affair and they'd gotten divorced. How exactly was this going to work out? Like, oh yes after the divorce I just fell in love with my ex-wife's assistant?
Hopefully their latest plan blows in their face quickly.

Title The Auditors
Well! I certainly wasn't expecting that revelation at the end!

I'm glad Han Soo's optimism and unshakeable faith has come down a notch because it was a tad unbearable. Episode 2, I even found his chats with his family kind of sweet, lol.

I'm a little unsure whether I should find the middle brother suspicious or not. A chaebol power struggle where everyone is well-adjusted and honest apart from the crude black sheep half-brother? It's never that straight forward.

He threatened to tell her family about her fatal illness and was flabbergasted when she turned that weapon around…
It shows us more of Hae-In's character. She was willing to keep it a secret and spare her family the pain as long as she was the one carrying the burden. But she wasn't going to keep the secret at the expense of Hyun Woo's reputation/she wasn't going to let it be used to hurt her people.

Genuinely laughed out loud at that last bit!! it’s 3a.m.! My poor neighbours.
Hahaha. I know its small compared to everything else that's happening in their world but balance should be restored lol

I do enjoy a failed blackmail scheme! And good on Hae-In for being fearless as ever.

I'm also enjoying all the side plots, tbh. Even the villains don't annoy me as much since the reveal because things aren't going in their favour constantly and as their alliances continue to fracture, Hae-In and Hyun-Woo are strengthening.

I hope Hyun Woo's dad also manages to win over his nemesis. If the Queens side gets back their place in society they'll need their in laws to be political, lol.

Exactly!! That's what I think so too. We know there's a redemption arc coming for her but this is a pretty wholesome drama so there will be a limit to how much will be forgiven.

I wondered the same thing about the baby. I'd have believed it if we found out another way but Da Hye admitting it outright makes me question it. We already know she lies and by saying he's not the father she probably thinks would make him leave them alone.

I already said somewhere on here that the crime sentences in this drama were ridiculous and unrealistic in SK…
InJu was pretty unhinged too, so you are onto something there!

Some more:7. Tae Oh’s mother died8. Hee Ju and Seong Ju’s mother went to jail for a crime we’d never seen…
Was she hiding InJu's mother in her flower garden? LMAO

There were so few bodies in this revenge drama anyway that surely all the corpses are accounted for?

LMAO. This discussion is also reminding me how little I cared for the main three and their goals for takeover. I was totally team chaebol for a change this time!

Exactly. You'd think that he'd put a weird contingency like him having to marry Huiju or something. Not that I have any interest in Huiji being a pawn like that but it seems like he went out of his way to spite them.

Even if he's holding Seungjoo's earlier plots with his mother against him its weird because everyone could tell she was the one pushing him and shes not an issue anymore.

You're right that that's a bright spot for those two- at least they seem to have each other.

For someone so benevolent to TaeOh, the chairman's attitude towards his children is so strange.

Even if Sueng Joo isn't a brilliant business man, surely as his father his job is to set him and Huiju up for success and surround them with people they can trust where they lack skills. Is it because he hates their mother?

He could have been pseudo-adopted by the chairman 5 years ago if he hadn't been carrying InHa's crazy ass.
Exadtly, and it definitely seems hollow if you then also want to give him the best plot armor ever seen. Like if he's that good at influencing people and "business" then why isn't he aiming any higher?

He could have been pseudo-adopted by the chairman 5 years ago if he hadn't been carrying InHa's crazy ass.
I think that's the main issue for me. I don't have particularly discerning taste. Bad acting, ridiculous plot twists I can get get through all that as long as I'm entertained. But for this one, I never really understood the core premise- InHa always seemed surplus to the plot.

TaeOh and for that matter HyeWon too are shown to be capable, clever people so I don't get why they were both convinced that InHa would be their way out? In TaeOh's case I don't even really understand what his goal was! And in the end they got where they are despite InHa! But they were well on their way before the second time jump while InHa was still a nobody at KangOh. It was more work to carry InHa to the top than themselves. The only thing InHa really did (in my eyes, other people may disagree) is that he basically poisoned their relationship potential.

Also, I dislike wasted foreshadowing, too many people came on and said cryptic things and acted with unclear motivations and none of it went anywhere!

Do they ever explain Tae Oh's original goal before In Ha goes nutso? Was it really only step 1: make In Ha chairman…

I mean at least they didnt make HyeWon heir which was the ending I was dreading!

Sounds like the ending is the best case scenario after what was going on for the first 5 weeks.

He never explicitly wanted something for himself in the show. First, he wanted to make In Ha the chairman and…
To echo what everyone else is saying, theres been no mention at all of the stepfather. Considering he seemed to be such a driving force for TaeOh and his mother being on the run it seems weird that he has made 0 moves for revenge since the time his goons chased them to the bus stop.
