There's not much going on with the story. I actually didn't understand the story at all, plus the bad subs 😭... The beginning and ending was abrupt. Such a shame because the chemistry between them was quite good. I like them as a couple.

I can see that's a lot! But I felt thankful Xu Yiqing in the drama is different from the novel. I had enough green tea bitch lately, I want to avoid them as I can 🤡🤡. The XYQ in the drama don't want to separate the main couple, and I wish she would still do so later on.

This is my first time seeing Jeremy. He is too good to be true! His acting is absolutely marvelous and pleasing to look at. The way he shifted his demeanor when acting as Wei Xian, the way he felt that screeching pain, the way he expressed his feelings to his beloved, was gorgeous.

Also I can't believe I haven't watch any of Nana's works??? I remember seeing her but I forgot where. It turns out I only saw her on Keep Running back then. But I feel like I've definitely seen her somewhere. Anyway, it's nice seeing her. Most celebrity nowadays are too skinny, contrary to her, she looks plumpy and healthy. I love that part of her. Her acting is good too. We can see the difference between the way she act towards her family vs the way she act towards our ML. She act like a child with her family, but able to act mature with ML--well, eventhough sometimes she showed him her childlike behavior, her bearing was different.

That aside, I'm really happy I took a chance to watch this drama. I actually don't really like drama with too much age gap whether in real life or the drama itself, so I don't even consider putting this drama on my PTW before. But, I try it anyway because I couldn't find other C-drama to watch. And I LOVE IT!!! It only has 24 episode so it doesn't have too much filler. Every step, every way, lead to the main case.

After finished watching the donghua S1, I love that they have the similar tone/accent with the donghua version! I almost thought they were dubbed by the same people, but they aren't.
