When P'Khajorn said that Sun's looks were a bit ordinary, my first thought was, on what planet?! He looks like a mix between different idols. P'Khajorn might have seen way too many models/idols in his lifetime to say something like that.

Red actually isn't my favorite color.I'm enjoying this drama so much after the C-drama drought, but please—the…
I agree, but thankfully, for me, it's offset a bit with the muted flashbacks where color pops in a different way.

Title Payback
The first episode does a solid job using emotional plot devices to get you invested in Sun, but the script itself feels a bit weak because the stakes don't match the setup. Are we supposed to view Bank as this untouchable, final-boss level antagonist that we have to go thorough all this just to get our revenge? He just doesn't carry that weight. If anything, to me, Jay naturally steals that 'big bad' energy. I seriously though that Sun was going to beat the crap out of Bank when he overheard what he did.

The episode also stumbles in post-production; the structural sequencing feels slightly disjointed and a few scenes linger far too long, sacrificing narrative momentum. That said, Min is an absolute saving grace as Sun. The character has a ton of potential for a complex psychological arc if the writing holds up. Min completely commands the camera with his model-like screen presence and delivers a competent, grounded performance that makes me genuinely want to see them pull this off

For as good as Ayden is here, I gotta give it up for Lu Si Tong. He's done a good job with more dramatic scenes and the kiss scenes. He delivers nuance in a way that you don't get from other actors/characters in the drama. He has good range.

Ok. looking at the comments, maybe I had too much hope for this drama's character's flaws improving.

An actual out queer couple/characters and the problems that come with it in China

Now I just hope that the remaining eps aren't just pure angst.
