I started this drama because the premise seemed interesting, and I really liked the actress in In Blossom. As for Liu Xue Yi, I think he's talented, but I haven’t really enjoyed most of the dramas he’s in(Blood of Youth being the one exception).if this were the only drama I was watching right now, I might be more forgiving. But when the writing feels lazy and the characters, relationships, or emotional dynamics don’t really stand out, there’s not much to hold onto. I don’t need a perfect story, but if the plot isn’t strong, then I at least expect great chemistry, strong friendships, or meaningful family dynamics. Here, even putting the plot aside, everything else feels average it’s fine, but nothing truly pulls me in. Being almost halfway through the drama, I don't think I will drop it; maybe once past the middle, they will salvage it 🤔 hope is the last to die (but it dies?) 🤣

They can definitely write a better love story without the shortcut of a past connection it just needs a bit more work 😉😬

i always say, 'This is the last time I watch an ongoing drama.' I say it with conviction, with dignity and then I fail. Consistency is key, they say… well, I have none 😅

I barely survived two episodes of Feud.I’m proud of myself for the effort, but even prouder for dropping it 😅 Sometimes quitting is self-care 😆

There was this one drama where the FL gets sent to an alternate reality like 10 years in the past and tries to go back… only to find out there’s no ‘back’ because none of it was real either 🙃. It had such an interesting premise, but between censorship regulations and plot holes you could fall into, it just ended up being a messy waste of potential 😅 As well, the characters were meh. ps. I hope he looked at her because she was such a weird actress, asking to cut her character to the point of being almost an extra 😅🤣

STOP IT. I don’t like it 😭😭😭 I’m already itchy it gives me an allergy just at the thought of it. Childhood sweetheart trope? I’d rather eat glass 😱

I'm struggling with the overall writing, with ups and downs, and I'm still trying to finish episode 15. Are you telling me it gets worse? 🥲

I am just hoping that the first episode is not a dream, and they don't pull something out like they know each other from childhood or something 💩 like that 😅😅🤣 ps. As well, they need to give importance to the world of the script too, because if nothing is real there, then everything we are watching doesn't mean anything.

I wish she would start to see things before it is too late and without anyone pointing them out to her. I want her to understand by herself

Can we PLEASE take a moment to appreciate the Waning River Crescent Gang?? 😩🖤 Because every time Li Shiliu and his masked squad show up, I forget all my problems, instant serotonin. I love every single one of them even Nightwalker Extra #39 in the back who probably has two lines (or none).Their lair is literally the only place where Nan Heng gets a break from being emotionally wrecked every 3 minutes 🙃

SYT and HN clearly have a completely different relationship this time around. It proves that while certain plot points might be fixed by the script, the emotions, motivations, and choices of the characters are shifting. They’re evolving. The story might be looping, but the people inside it aren’t the same anymore. Of course the FL is still fixated on the original script because from her perspective, all she sees is the aftermath. She recognizes the plot points as they happen, but she doesn’t see how the paths leading to them have already changed. To her, the destination is still the same, what she hasn’t realised yet is that while the plot may push certain events to happen, the why behind them is completely different this time. And if the reasons change, the outcome can change too. But she’s too focused on protecting herself to even consider that. She’s surviving based on patterns she’s memorised, not the reality unfolding in front of her

I deeply regret watching these episodes today before tomorrow’s. I’m out here giving myself an ulcer over Nan Heng, the Patron Saint of Misunderstood Men, now with an extra misunderstanding ... still finishing ep 22 so dont know yet the answer to ypur question. EDIT.Just finished the episode… and I really wish I was you and had waited for tomorrow. This was beyond ulcer-inducing. And don’t even get me started on the 2ML he was like nails on a chalkboard this episode. Every time he appeared, I wanted to throw something at the tv. Also… setting aside the fact that the sister literally drugged and tried to assault LS (which, yes, is horrifying, but in the name of fairness I laughed when he tried to kill her sister multiple times at the beginning of the show, so can't really comment on this without being a hypocrite) but they wierdly solved all.of their issues in 10 minutes of the episode. Cant say the same for him and FL. He is still out here winning the "Most Consistently Misunderstood Male Lead 2025" award for the 22th episode in a row

she didn’t adopt a misunderstood soul or a fixer-upper... she picked up a limited edition plot device 😂 He served his one (1, only 1) purpose and then vanished from the epispdes. He’ll reappear only when drama needs to be solved or uncovered, until then, he's on standby in the plot storage room 😅

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he shows up next time with white hair, a cane, and says, “I’ve waited decades… for you to save me, Jiejie.”

Please… never bring up the parrots in Long Ballad again 😩 I love that drama, but that scene? Absolutely cringe. They really made us watch two birds "kiss" in closeup while the actual couple’s kiss was hidden in the background. Like why??I felt like I was intruding on some weird avian courtship ritual 😱.And seriously wouldn’t it have been better to just not show the kiss at all? Or give us a soft focus shot from a distance like every other drama does? But no. We got full beak to beak action shot in 8k. yes I still can't get over it 🥲🤣

This show gives me Dream of Splendor vibes, which I loved, too, especially for the friendships between women, etc.

Yes, it does feel like it doesn't belong to this show. I mean, okay, there was a misunderstanding, but I was expecting it to be written better (the start of it, i mean). The sister's actions ALWAYS made sense in her character buildup.But the brother, while less developed, still had a clear base: a timid, guilt-ridden young man/boy who couldn’t protect the person he loved most, his sister.So for him to suddenly turn bold, confrontational, and start provoking someone like Jiang Changyang, without any internal buildup or shift, just doesn’t hold up 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ I wish that once Mu Dan discovers the truth, she will slap some character development into him 🤭
