Agree, never sure what those scriptwriters will do with the adaptation, what's for sure is there isn't enough episodes left to cover all that's left in the novel.

Novel ending for cousins - Qin Xiang as you saw is the concubine to Yan Qi, she miscarries due to conflict with ChenBi. In the end, Yan Qi is killed and she leaves capital.

Qin Shuang marries the Imperial Guard, they are both happy and stay in the capital in the end.

ahh, it was covered in the novel. Qin Wan needed to remove septic bile fluid from Princess stomach. As for the blade "Han Yue" or cold moon, is the blade (used to make the incision for surgery) that belongs to Yan Chi who promised to gift the blade to Qin Wan if she can save his grand-aunt.

IIRC they could be referring to Qin Wan childhood arrangement, but was rejected (6:36 of Ep 1) by mother of groom.

So here's my guess. Lin MuYun was Yan Ze's man, so Yan Chi & Qin Wan had known about Yan Ze's involvement in Qin Wan's father's demise and would never allow him to live (remember how Qin Wan kept telling Yue Ning that Yan Ze is not a good person?).

Also, Zhan Yang had taken over the case of Ning BuYi (the painter who murdered all those people), he discovered that Ning BuYi had a single visitor back in GuanYin town when ShenYi was investigating the murders. That was Yan Ze.

I think that man in the basement of Zhan Yang home with both legs broken is Yan Ze. They've allowed him to "live" as he helped prevent the suffering of residents in the capital if Yan Chi had to invaded with his 100k troops. So they used Zhan Yang (he is the new deputy chief justice) to keep Yan Ze in perpetual suffering for his sins.

If you are referring to what happens in the novel, Emperor confines Qin Wan to a remote corner of palace on their wedding night (bummer right). Yan Chi is already prepared, knowing the Emperor wants to kill him or use Qin Wan to control him.

In any case, he rescues Qin Wan from the palace and escapes to the NW back to his army.

There's a discussion panel above where the airing schedule is discussed. There's a "double happiness" symbol for episodes 33/34 - so I suppose that's when.

Mourning period is 1 year and Qin Wan is only 18. In any case, Empress Dowager wanted them to marry earlier, so she allowed them to marry after initial mourning period of 100 days.

Yan Chi's father dies first, then Qin Wan requests for marriage decree from Empress Dowager to stop Yan Chi from leaving capital to investigate father's death, fearing he might get assassinated as well.

Wedding comes after, there's a fun bit where Prince Cheng tries to spook Empress Dowager into not going forward with the marriage by influencing the oracle reading as inauspicious pairing - but Yan Chi fixes it. Prince Cheng thinks he's smart, but Qin Wan/Yan Chi are waaay smarter.

Funny how QinWan even has emergency meds next to her. Kinda like her Go Bag 😁

Empress and Consort actually suspect that he is an imposter but they selfishly want their sons to inherit the throne, so they went along with it. Not until Emperor decides to move against Empress does she rebel with CP.
