I loved Judge from Hell, even though I watched with a lot of skepticism because PSH has never played an anti-hero type role. So it’s even more frustrating because this drama had potential, with a brand new plot idea, a great writer/director duo and suzy-woo bin reunion! Unfortunately, eye candy alone can’t save this one!

Love Suzy and KWB, and the OG Goblin crew! Fantasy is my favorite genre. I’ve been waiting for this drama for a long time. I also feel the need to mention that I’m an atheist….but this drama just doesn’t hit the mark! Acting is wooden and uncomfortable, many plot holes, scene transitions are sudden and jarring, lots of fillers, and I just don’t feel any real emotions towards any character. It’s difficult to binge and I keep taking breaks. I’ll try to finish- hope the second half changes my mind!

3 episodes in and the comedy is not clicking at all…does it get better?

What a heartwrenching story, far exceeding the confines of a 6 episode drama! Everyone should watch this. The OST brought all the feels

The long gazes between the leads really makes your heart beat faster! That’s what real chemistry is all about, not just the skinship!

Taejong was one of the better kings of Joseon and he accomplished a lot, sadly the number of episodes here weren’t enough to show that side of his reign! This solely focused on his dynamics with Wongyeong- even in today’s day & age, men can’t deal with a strong woman, so back in the 1400s it would’ve truly been incomprehensible! Taejong killed many of his “suspected” traitors (including his brothers in law) but during his time Joseon flourished, probably also some credit goes to his queen for her steadfast support for a common cause. You have to watch any sageuk with a historical lens, not with a modern viewpoint!
