okay, this series started off really strong and, fell off a little, and then picked back up. i am so sad it is over. it probably my fave series of 2026
this is the first series ive rated less than a 5. i usually dont do bad ratings but i just have to for this. i really like leng and im happy to see him again but the chemistry with august is just not here. and the kissing is sooo bad. idk if theyre uncomfy or august just doesnt know how to kiss.
the story is also boring, which could be playing into the lack of chemistry. the nc scene just felt so forced. i will watch them if they ever have another series to see if it was this series or if they just dont have chemistry.
love this series but im lowkey disappointed with the recent nc scene bcs comparing it to the novel... yeah. there is a reason i try to stay away from novels
ofc not series of the year but i am enjoying so far. with all the serious bls i am watching, this is like a breath of fresh air. it's unserious and funny. i am not a maxnat fan but i will keep watching for the comedy.
