Kang Tae Oh's characters are always interesting becuz no matter how good or bad they are, they always give off a jerk boyfriend energy. I mean they are cute, energetic and fluffy but sometimes they will make you wonder when will the bad side come out with a secret red flag. I agree that 2nd couple has better chemistry than main couple. However, Lee Young Hwa starting to get on my nerves == I mean compared to other 3, who are persistent and try to do their jobs well, LYH can't seem to separate his art from his crush chasing at all. I know art is supposed to be more on emotion side but bruh, he agreed to do a painting for Dan Ah, not for free but it can also be placed in a famous art museum - every art student's dream - and all he cares about is making excuses to meet her. He didn't do his job properly, he got angry when things isn't on his term (the movie date where he got angry at ML, the phone number...), his bad boy/almost like stalking attitude when talking with Dan Ah, urgh I can't take it. Maybe it's just my preferences or becuz of the contrast in his character with calm but goofy in social interaction ML, but I don't dislike fluffy cheerful boy in kdramas, I've seen quite a few but they don't annoy me like LYH did. Dan Ah is a bit crazy, I didn't like her at first but really I admire her confidence when having to deal with a family like that <3 I think the ending that 2nd couple does not end up together is so satisfying to me becuz I believe Dan Ah deserves to be loved by someone more mature and can walk on the road of life with her until the end.
This is a such a good drama lol. I love how lighthearted the interaction between the main couple is. Some people say they lack chemistry but I don't think so. They feel calm, comfortable and understood when they're together. It doesn't have to be all bickering or having funny interaction to be considered chemistry. They both have a sad and pressured background, I love their subtle and awkward interaction because for me it also a way to express love amidst their hardships.
I expected chemistry between but what I got is FML running around asking people to "Let my friend go!" and "You must not hurt my sister and uncle!" FMl character is decent, like she isn't annoying but rather brave and can be helpful sometimes but that's it about her :< Her best friend is so much like a filler character lol. I mean FML literally getting involved with gangsters and cops but all her best friend cares about is FML's love line with ML?
Ep 1: I don't even recognize Su Xiao Tong with that filter :< I understand they want to make her look like a desert princess in red dress but that is not necessary at all. Most characters have that rugged yellowish skin but suddenly she is all white and flat. Can't they make her look natural like in The imperial coroner? Even her ID photo is filtered so white we don't see her nose TwT Alright in the next scene her face is normal again with normal skin color and we can see her lovely cheeks :3

I read both the manhwa and they're both amazing with satisfying plot! I won't say they're the same except for second chance theme because this one revolves around office work and adultery revenge more. There are also stories of other supporting characters which makes the series so interesting and not too draggy. Can't wait to finish this show!
It was a good watch because of chemistry and acting of main couple. However consider this is based on the book by same author of Our secret and Bright eyes in the dark, this is quite a messy adaptation because those 2 are so good and make me satisfied after watching. I understand it is hard to fully adapt the details from the original book but they really rush the important storyline and focus too much on love chase between main couple. If they could balance things out even 40 episodes won't be so draggy. Why they suddenly rush the problem solving etc in the last 2-3 episodes lol. There are so so much good details that they overlook and make character developments of many characters seem illogical. What a shame but I do enjoy this series.
The funny thing is in the original book I don't see any detail about her and Gao Leng getting back together lol. I only read a few last chapters from the part where FML company having problems and all friends come to help. It only says Chen Shu came back to help FML and after that they have a beach party to celebrate the success, then Gao Leng and Lao Qing make joke while Chen Shu grills meat and she does make a comment on how boring their joke is so I guess they remain colleagues relationship only.

Fml is a fast learner and very determined in doing her job well. As time goes on she can handle the drama at workplace and solve problems at the company. I think her job makes sense later on yeh :3
