we got a glimpse of that. he knows of his ailment and should not be drinking. he fainted in episode 8. this is due to yuan being away.

every time i come here i learn something i wish i could unlearn...

ngl, putting out the last two episodes feels rushed and ruined the novelty of waiting A WHOLE WEEK for the next episode for me. they should have did that in the beginning. now i have to pretend...

im not sure what happened but "cancel culture" seems to be on another level in China. yet it is also so selective. shame, i hope he can overcome all obstacles his way and come back on top. i know he has learned his lesson.

why not 10 episodes? this going to mess with me lol it will be interesting how they will fit everything in 9 episodes. I was hoping for 16 at least. the one time rowoon does a short series and it has to be this one :/

Censorship did a number on this drama. You're telling me that while Fengtai was running in that cave and in a coma he was not also thinking about Xirui? In a perfect world his apprentice would walked on the stage and Xirui would have met his family by the train station.

Xiang was a boss. I like how they wrote her to have a backbone. She was supportive of Fengtai when he was away. I like that he made sure to tend to her every time he got back. Their marriage was not born out of love but you can tell a form of it was there.

Chacha is a brat. I hope she learned a hard lesson. Out of all the people that should have d*ed it should have been the Gui Xiu and the Colonal.

I want to think that Xirui got on the train after his performance tho.
Du went to Hong Kong, the Chengs are going to Hong Kong. Xirui has an apprentice who can take over. Xirui can make films with Du and Cheng in Hong Kong so I am going to believe that Xirui caught the next train. Du is writing operas. Cheng is filming said operas. And Xirui remains both their muse.

I hope to see the leads in another drama as well.
+I might have missed it but the newspaper owner...was his wife setting Du up? Why did she smile when her husband stood up for her? Like she was purposely starting trouble.
And what's with Xirui's brother? What did he need that money for?
