ik the post accident hospital scene didn't make sense but the comedy and the cuteness are just too good for me to think much of it. i love this kdrama so much i'm already sad it'll end in just another 7 episodes

Title Dream to You Spoiler
I'm sorry but i need to rant so bad. i've held it in for 6 eps i just can't now.
bruh i never liked WSB's character from the start but it honestly just keeps getting worse. because like okay i get he went through a shit ton of trauma and abuse, i can even understand him leaving without even trying to explain why, but as if coming back and acting like NOTHING HAPPENED wasn't enough (totally not being considerate of her at all btw in every scene in the first few eps), now he decides to blindside her in the movie HE begged her to co-direct? you cannot justify this as him being overprotective cause he literally never asked her about any of it even once, when she actually pointed it out he simply said "let's do it this way only". you can CLEARLY see how hurt and small she's feeling in that crowd and he's either so blind to it or he just doesn't care. for someone whose entirely personality started from "MY FIRST LOVE", he consistently ensures that he's never once considerate of her; in the past or in the present. during the intro or during the dinner he had so many opportunities to include her, to listen to her, to give her a chance to properly incorporate herself into the team since he's the one who brought her in but nope. the most he could do was politely explain to that guy that JYJ is doing her work right, like what?

"I'll feel sorry" yea SURE. didn't know making the person feel worse is being sorry. for someone who sings about his first love every chance he gets, the "love" sure is feeling performative. you'd think he'd move mountains for her but really he'll just politely tell the guy who majorly disrespected her off and warn not to do it again. at the very least fire the man. I'm sorry but for someone who has been and is so close to her, you cannot make me believe he's so oblivious to how she was feeling, rather he just DOES NOT care.

it pains me to watch my man HIY play such a self absorbed douchey character. again, i understand past behaviours and reasoning, but yi jae went through a lot herself yet she doesn't act like this at all. she's still trying to convince him she's strong and whatnot when really he should be apologising for acting like the CEO calling all the shots in a setup where he emphasised them working as a team, as ONE person. i don't even want to get into how wrong everything feels to me about these two but just that yi jae is too good for him.

honestly the only reason i'm still even watching this is because i love HIY and i've been waiting for a drama of his to air since forever. also yes the 2 other couples. i honestly like them better than the main couple.

one thing i love about this drama is that they didn't make the ex wife a heinous villain. not every divorce has to be ugly and sometimes things just don't work out, that doesn't mean one of the two is necessarily a bad person. the scene with CJY and CSJ having drinks together was so wholesome. i'm so glad that they didn't end up losing their friendship over this.

as much as i like this drama, the episodes really don't feel cohesive a lot of the times. idk if it's just me but it honestly seems like a bunch of clips put together rather than ones which lead up to one another. the timing often seems off or random tbh. also the camera angles in a lot of the scenes feel somewhat misplaced or just a bit weird (a lot of really zoomed in shots for no reason). as amazing an actor that park ji hyun is, in my personal opinion romance may not be her top genre tbh. at times, her character feels a little too lacklustre or just lowkey unbothered even in situations which are supposed to be more exciting/ enjoyable for her. i'm a HUGE fan of seo in guk but somehow he's shining very less in this drama too. like i understand that's supposed to be his character but idk, his acting is way better than this character is letting him be.

p.s. this is not me hating on the drama or the actors, i honestly am still enjoying watching it but i do not love the production/direction.

personally, i dont see any mr queen influence here at all. what influence did you see?
umm i remember noticing a few while watching but tbvh i've forgotten most of them. it's just that overall the premise seemed to be very similar, just turned the other way around. the scenes of the souls of both the past and the present FL being shown underwater was one that seemed pretty similar to me as mr.queen based their soul swapping around the lake as well. the trope was also enemies to lovers only. plus the emphasis on how she talked in modern day korea being unique and eccentric constantly reminded me of the scenes in mr.queen.
now i know these aren't clear cut examples of it being the same as mr.queen considering such tropes and plotlines are pretty common to kdramaland but since it is based in a similar historical setting and revolves around soul swapping (and somewhat reincarnation) i can't help but see some or the other parallels with mr.queen.
might just be because i'm a huge mr.queen fan tho :)

started off pretty good but towards the end the plot really came crashing down; to mention the show is pretty influenced by mr.queen i'd say, however i feel it did not manage to achieve a good ending as the latter did.
the cast was amazing tho.
