Movies used to great when they focused more on acting n emotions rather than production quality n looks.
Tragic plot but also hopeful I guess.

Emotionally raw movie n great acting.As an art form it was a beautiful movie along with political struggle n cultural revolution which made it more insightful.
I actually wish this was longer. Considering the various perspective included in the plot,it felt short.

I thought ju xian was evil because we are used to evil second female lead but she turned out to be pure soul.
I hated most of the characters of this.

I liked the last how these three were psychologically manipulated by govt which also brought out their innermost evil.I can't say much without spoilers so I will stop here.

I enjoy morally grey characters like MC.
This movie was visually beautiful,never a bored moment, perfect acting but I still felt something was missing.Was it depiction of emotions by the characters or the plot wasn't impactful?It was way too perfect for my taste.
I am unhappy with how they completely disregarded his second wife , whatever happened to her n also the first wife dint seem to be important.I had high expectations bcz I like the director n how emotionally i connect with his other movies.

This movie,more than its plot which has been used multiple times, should be taken as an art form.It was visually stunning as how beautifully director made the use of geometry,how he took the shots along with perfect use of sound with no unnecessary background music,i also like how the master of the house never showed his face as if he is some mysterious evil identity rather than unimportant one.Use of symbolism n less dialogues n psychological manipulation also make it a good psychological movie.

This is Multi perspective n Slice of Life drama rather than romance like original. This has a completely different plot.
The one thing I liked the most is Friendship arc so I loved Ren's character alot to never leave Chiaki's side for love ,he was always there for her ,it's a common occurrence for people to ignore their friends when they start dating,sometimes they intentionally or unintentionally hurt their friends for lover n spouse.
No chemistry between main couple,Osakabe n Hikari had better chemistry in this.
I liked korean one more bcz of angst.

I haven't watched this movie but in general I don't think rating matters to cinephiles ,u can see very good movies are not rated high in imdb n here.If u r mature enough to grasp the plot or something clicks with u that's all that matters.

Not the best movie of kiyoshi kurosawa but if u like the director then give it a go while keeping your expectation low.
Average n used plot where first half focuses on capitalism about how one scams others n second half is subtle thriller but i wanted to watch something slow paced so it was entertaining for me.
P.S. Sano is gay ,I can't come up with no other explanation lol.

Lee tang character n the plot lacks consistency ,I enjoyed the first three episodes but song chon character n plot holes ruined the drama.

That moaning scene,lee chae ha actor has perfect voice for this.Plot was ok , enjoyed the chemistry.

Engaging drama.Lee kang's reason may seem very small like the other comment says that he took it personally but he had every valid reason to have done so n it's quite entertaining to see how these two MCs are obsessed with each other to an unhealthy degree even after losing everything.

Well said ,I loved low production quality Jdrama which had amazing plot n acting,they are not as emotional n weird as they used to be which made them unique n unusual n for just few selective audience.They were better when they dint have mass reach.

Tried it bcz I like the manga n liked it more than expected,loved the angst intro n the whole violin n cello background music.The whole drama,even the actors has 90s vibe to them.
It will get high rating from me regardless of what the ending is.

I din't even know who that guy is before u mentioned,just saw him here.I am still going to watch but I agree world is full of people like him n others are accepting them.Culprits relating to Epstein files are ruling the world n people are too blind to see this.

No matter what the ending is,it was a nice movie about the introvert MC opening up n her romance with ML.It is a multiple genre film covering various themes like family drama, slice of life, society.

I really liked the yellow hue used in this movie which gave a bit of 90s warmth n nostalgia while also giving clear picture of social divide between rich/poor, good looking/ugly, though the actress isn't ugly (they dint even need to change her style by the end of the movie n making her complexion n hair change) I don't understand why they always do it with all so called ugly Main Characters.
Must add Gyeong rok had more chemistry with Yohan than Mi jeong.

Almost no jumpscare which i liked.Worth watching.

What nudity or prolonged nudity? Why do people put wrong tags. Being shirtless isn't nudity n there was no sexual content either. Mild smut is common in every drama these days especially in BLs,even Let free the curse of taekwondo has this much smut but there were no such tags there.

Not for everyone but for all those who love Jmovies.
This was a fast paced multiple perspective suspenseful drama filled with morally ambiguous characters, heart warming at times.I wouldn't call it a thrill though.

Koto Nagata is progressing beautifully,i liked her before but surely this was her best so far.
