I felt the same. But I always felt that YCY can't do deep emotional scenes. I've been willing to endure them as I like this drama. She has done decently in portraying all different characters.

Ryan Ding...I absolutely love ALL of his styling for all his different lives. I prefer this over his past period dramas where he has his hair up in a bun and his makeup had made him look pale/white. This is much better. His acting, just as on point. I've watched the new reality/game show with the same cast and he's just adorably hilarious. Not like in an immature way.

The point is finally proven. Xu Ming was with Cang Hai for over a thousand years and she didn't even love him. And here we see XM doing everything for his one sided love. He once told CK that he wouldn't understand his love for CH. He's right. Why would he understand a one sided love when his love with CH/XY is mutual.

I am confused. So when they went back to 30K years ago, are they reliving their lives at it happened already or?

I hope you stay on. The 2nd tribulation doesn't end till the end of episode 12 so it's rather draggy but it gets better once you pass this part of the drama. I would say after episode 8, it gets much better.

I don't think the brother is the black figure villain. That villain didnt wanted CK to succeed in his tribulations but his brother (as sketchy as he is) wants CK to get his full strength back. It was his idea at first to go through these love tribulations. There is a hidden enemy..

I would really like to see at least one tribulation that Xu Ming isn't it in. At least the good friend charade is over. I'm curious how the other tribulations will go now that CK knows the truth about the toll of the tribulations.

I didn't like her in Heroes and that was where I was convinced that her acting needs serious improvement. I more so judged that she was the FL of that series but couldn't carry that role at all. Here, I find her far less annoying or I am really just distracted by Ryan Ding and can overlook her flaws here.

Now we can't stop thinking about LBFAD's gender swapping scenes. Let's see who can do a high pitch better- Dylan Wang or Ryan Ding :)

It looks like it. Seems like they can just cut to the chase with the remaining tribulations since ML can seemingly direct the main plot.

Apparently, CangHai is the leader of the demon sect/world. She was deemed by the heaven as a threat to everyone else and Chu Kong is tasked to stop her. It's his duty to protect everyone. But the flashbacks and part of the trailer shows that they must have fallen in love and he had no choice but to do what he did and CangHai knowingly sacrifice herself for the sake of peace. I haven't read the novel so whoever she may resemble as to the first love of Chu Kong is who she is in the drama.

The only thing we've seen to justify his obsession is the short 1 min flashback to when FL was Cian Hai and she saved him. But that is all. If he's doing it to repay her kindness, it doesn't have to be all these crazies.

Might be easier to write one character than to have 7 different ones responsible for driving them apart as part of their tribulations. I am seeing them re-use the same actors for the parents and sidekicks. I'm seeing the budget is limited here.

So SML doesn't have such a big role in the novel? I'm thinking of all the past xianxias where we have the third wheel/interferers and for some reason, Xiu Ming is getting all this hate that other characters like him have been repeating this whole "I love you and will save you" troupe. Why does he not sit well with us?

I would like to see them alternate with who makes the sacrifice. Judging from the trailer, it looks like he will have his fair share of it with XY.

I'm reminded from Till End of the Moon where Bi Cheng was revengeful in two lifetimes and I got tired at the 3rd thinking, plz don't do it again. We were spared where she woke up to her real life and decided to just live for herself. But if SML is doing it the same for more than 2 lifetimes, it's going to be very very tiresome.

Watched up to ep 12, if I was being very picky, I can find faults with YCY's portrayal of her 2nd life. However, I can overlook those faults when she seems to have great chemistry with Ryan Ding. I never really liked YCY's acting but she is tolerable here. I don't find her annoying which is keeping my attention. I can tell she has improved in her acting. Ryan Ding has been living up to my expectations and I love his styling here.

Also, if they want to do a mini cartoon series featuring the pig and the tiger cub with the leads dubbing, I so will watch it. They are too cute and funny.
