second prince is such a comedic genius lmao i wonder if his fall at ep 12 2:06 was actually part of the script…
You start noticing that the 2nd prince can't seem to sit still. He's always shifting, moving and eating something in his scenes.

But more than that why was Wan Er more terrified of the poison than anyone else..
Probably terrified that Fan Xian 'appeared' to have lost it if he did poison 2nd prince

Title Joy of Life Season 2 Spoiler
The last sentence 2nd prince said "My life is on the line, I haven't been this excited for so long", In my opinion,…
I actually think Fan Xian was deliberately messing with his psyche after he killed an innocent girl to prove a point. He was being unpredictable and there really isn't anything that Fan Xian doesn't dare to do as oppose to whether he would do it. Fan Xian scares the s**ts out of him because he can't quite seem to get 100%. At times he does and then others he doesn't and he actually gets thrills from it.
I thoroughly enjoy the scenes with Fan Xian and 2nd prince- never boring, always intriguing and really unpredictable. At this point, Fan Xian has had more screen time with 2nd prince than anyone else.

Wu Xingjian who played YBY in S2 is handsome especially when he smiles. He seems to be on the good side with FX.
I like this version of YBY

OMG!! This is so brilliant. Fan Jian standing, arms fold, smirking at the show. LOL…so many hints given out.…
I love how he specifically positions himself ready to speak and when he is done, he shifts away like 'behind the stage' and the silence of others knowing who was expected to speak as opposed to a spitting match. We can process so much better.

"When did you stop scolding and start kneeling?"Deng Zi Yue is the representation of all those people who are…
And even then, he still abides by his own moral code - he wouldn't take part of the brides and he continued to live modestly. What he learned was that his spear headed way of going against corruption didn't work. Similar to Fan Xian's spear headed way of trying to expose the 2nd prince and the princess got him nowhere until he was re-directed.

you guys do you really believe 2nd prince really burnt that town and do you also believe that crown prince didn't…
I don't trust the Crown Prince. In ways, he's worst than the 2nd prince. He's pretending to be an ally for FX but really, he's just using FX to take down the 2nd prince. At least 2nd prince keeps his word so he has that integrity. But for the Crown Prince who basically says one thing, and then he turns around to do the opposite, he has no integrity.

Oh and who the heck is CP obsessed with that he keeps drawing her?
I can only assume it's someone he cannot have romantic feelings for. Either someone who is already married or betrothed.

Gotta say Xu Kai is the best with comedic expressions. His grimaces make me laugh so hard 😂When Chenghuan said…
OMG he was so shameless as Gu Yan Zhen in Arsenal Military Academy. He does do well in comedic roles

in her eyes she can only think of making her daughter successful so that she doesn't end up like her...plus she…
Her mom isn't educated and it makes up for her inability to see how wealth can destroy a family and corrupt morals. She only sees how her daughter will live better (materialistically) and by extension, so is her immediate family but that she will only get that. She won't get respect, she will mentally suffer and even the love isn't strong enough to overcome those difficulties so what would she have to survive on. Although this is a common troupe, the less common one is not to give into mom's ideations of wealth and happiness or to hold herself as the sacrifice for the better of her family.

Mom's issues that stem from status and poverty is true, can be cured by wealth. But she forgets what she has- a loving husband, two great children (equally independent and mature). This is in stark contrast with Xin's family - who rose from wealth and forgot what it means to be a family. Instead, their wealth separates them from society that they used to belong to.

Never would've thought that there is a mom equally horrible, shameless & good at guilt-tripping as the one in…
Mom in "Go Ahead" is worst to deal with. It's 100% full on emotional manipulation. The son had no one to count on to take care of his mother and he had to take care of her and his younger sister. Unlike Huan Huan's mother here - she is less physically dependent and there are others around like her husband and the brother. Huan Huan is more independent and more determined and puts her foot down. Whereas the son in Go Ahead was too indecisive but he was full of guilt and responsibility that he allowed himself to suffer for 9 years.

Also, their selfish goals are very different - Go Ahead wasn't driven by the greed for wealth but for the possession of a son which is absolutely suffocating and extremely difficult to shake away. Here, the mom is driven by wealth and isn't as smart in her ways of manipulation compared to mom in Go Ahead.

All those rabbit shaped dumplings and lanterns etc they're playing tribute to princess agents right? Am I being…
They could have used any type of lantern. It's clearly a tribute to PA. Love it!

Title In Blossom Spoiler
Last two episodes are about ML and FL relationship. Investigation is not priority, I think it will be intense…
Spot on. Though when the realization comes to her that he only loved her all along and suffered all this time, it's going to be so sweet. Looks like it will come very soon. I do like these moments where PY is being nice to her and is showing affection towards her and he gets all confused when she acts distant and cold.

I feel like everything we didn't get in PA, we are being rewarded here.

On The Legend of Shen Li Mar 18, 2024
Saw the special extended clip release from today. I feel so hopeful that all the regret and disappointment from the pair in Princess Agents will repay us in this drama. I saw the bunny lantern and I giggled. But more, I'm hopeful they get more screen time together than they did in PA. Whereas we saw them dance the entire PA and not really acknowledging their feelings for one another until the bitter end, it's here we see it probably early on. Tons of flirting and some lines that even ZLY said in an interview for one scene she thought it was too cheesy and it really is but it's also very sweet.

I saw the opening song and all this hype is going to be worth it. It's clear this drama is high quality. We shouldn't be disappointed. I know I won't be disappointed.

Title In Blossom
Finally Liu Xue Yi is NOT dubbed in a costume drama. And also finally that he is a ML in a costume drama. No more 2nd ML. Saw the opening which is done in a very artsy 2D format. The synopsis sounds promising. I never minded JJY but this one seems to be a new challenge role for her. Looking forward to this.

On Yong An Dream Mar 2, 2024
I've watched most of Jeremy Tsui's dramas (except for Chong Zi) and he has so much potential but seems to struggle at finding the right script and character to play. His best role to date in my opinion was in Legend of Dugu, his 2nd for me was in Autumn Ballad. So far, I find this drama intriguing enough that I haven't lost interest. Compared to Royal Rumors, which is also 24 episodes long, I was so bored. I watched the entire series when I should have dropped it around episode 5-6. I'm now at episode 6 with Yong An Dream- I don't mind the FL. I disagree that the older sister should have played the FL (she has such a serious look that crying scenes wouldn't work for her in the manner that the FL is doing).

It’s definitely not his own voice, the drama is definitely dubbed. I agree that a telling factor of whether…
You only have to find Ryan Ding on a variety show or interview and you can hear his voice to match. He did his own voiceover for White Cat Legend but it's not live so it sounds a bit muffed. He used his own voice for Love you seven times but he was dubbed by someone else in Tiger and Rose and Romance of Twin Flower.
