If you like uncomplicated romance dramas then this is the one for you, it is not going to win any awards in regards to production or visual effects but I absolutely love the relationship between Mo Yan and Shi Qi. It was such a pure love and once they were together you could often see them holding hands and hugging each other.
Yes i this 24 or 30 should be last i lose interest in 40 ep drama they drag the story always
Agreed ! I really cannot follow 40 episodes these days unless it’s super engaging, I’m wondering to start on Melody of Goolden Age but it’s 40 episodes….. so glad this one is 24 episodes but now I’m worried that it’ll be over too quickly and we don’t get enough music/romance scenes

HI don’t believe this, did the writers dislike Mingyue’s character that much that they had to give her such a cruel storyline to be r***ed by the emperor and have such a cruel death and never even seeing Tinghan again beige she died ? I mean yes those things really did happen in history but still…. And I read through your novel spoilers, the characters like had so much more to them they actually made Li Chi sound like a more human character and come on we all wanted to see Donfang Zhi crowned as king after having to hide in the shadows for so long

I think that would be fine, I didnt get around to watching it TBH upon finding out the ending but I might give it a chance if I have nothing else to watch cause I really want to see the spicy kiss scenes. So I dont think you will miss out too much

I wanted to see that old far be tortured in a horrible way for what he did to the 2FL but he was slowly dying towards the end coughing blood and was alone with his empress dead, his son who betrayed him dead so I guess that was his karma (but not enough for me). I wanted so badly for the 2ML to confront him for what he did to the 2ML and his family but I guess there wasnt enough time

Honestly I was more invested in the 2nd Leads story as they had much more chemistry but the moment I saw the emperor staring hungrily at 2FL during the party I knew it was all over. The 2ML literally went through death to get their engagement official only to find out that she was literally sold by her father to that lecherous old fart and then is consistently r**ped by him and I am quite shocked the production team when a step further to film such a scene which I guess actually ties in with history (who knows how many poor girls went through this)
And after going through all that and seeing the one she truly loves continuously humiliated and herself getting humiliated and treated like a toy by that old leech she dies such a horrible and painful death and never once blaming her child which was conceived by r**e.
I wished she had said some final words for the 2ML but man did I tear up when he stared at her lifeless body and pleading with her to wake up and asking why something like that had to happen to her.... It was also heartbreaking that at the end he reminisced what life would have been if they had escaped and be happy.
I actually hope the 2 Leads act together again 1 day in a happier story

It was kind of rushed but still a HE ! Its really good for an easy watch and when you just wanna enjoy a a healthy relationship and I loved they flimed mostly in the tribal/desert area
