Which drama was filmed first? Glory or The Unclouded Soul?I cannot as in literally mentally cannot like 2 FLs…
I’d recommend finishing The Unclouded Soul first. That’s a good drama, but if you watch both at the same time, you’ll end up appreciating that less. The same thing happened to me. I stopped watching Unclouded Soul for now and will pick it up again after I finish Glory. Glory is simply more entertaining and visually stunning. When you watch them together, you can’t help comparing them, and in that sense, Glory is better in every way. So the best approach is to finish The Unclouded Soul first, then start Glory.
I think he’ll remember in episode 6. The ep 6 trailer(MGTV) shows him putting his ring on his finger and recalling past events. The real question is whether he remembers everything or just a few isolated moments.
This drama will hardly go beyond a treshold of 10K.It is nice, I am watching it daily bc I feel entertained (for…
Well, there’s no actual threshold of 10k votes. I was just giving an example. I simply meant that more votes help to get a better rating. As for this drama, I like it so far. You’re right. it might not be the best drama ever, but it’s still good, and let's see how it holds up until the end.
There are some haters who rate it a 1, and some people even give episodes a 1. When a drama suddenly enters the ranked phase, those extreme votes have a much bigger impact than they do in the unranked phase. You can really see the two extremes in voting. There are also people who blindly rate a drama 10 just to push the initial rating higher, which creates unrealistic expectations. Too much love and too much hate -both are bad.
Honestly, the rating system isn’t ideal. When people can create unlimited accounts and vote multiple times, this kind of behavior is inevitable. But over time, things usually average out. An 8 is still a good rating, but I believe this drama will end up with an even higher score.
Ranking vs Rating - There is a difference. Its a good explaination of the ranking process. Seriously it is. Though…
Well, obviously the system can be improved. I understand that MDL doesn’t want to make major changes to their algorithms or an already functioning system. It’s hard for different dramas to fall under the same algorithm. One drama might be hugely popular with tons of ratings, while another might not have enough votes to generate a stable score. But both still need a rating, and that’s not an easy job.
Honestly, it’s frustrating to see your favorite dramas drop in rating, and sometimes those sharp drops really do make you feel bad as a viewer. I don’t like it either. They need to fix it somehow. I don’t expect them to suddenly overhaul the entire algorithm. They can’t, but they can make small adjustments.
As for downrating or hater ratings, they could identify those outlier votes and give them less weight. As regular MDL users, I’m not sure what we can do, tbh.
About the rating of this drama: I see a lot of people seem confused. I had the same questions before, but a user on MDL explained it to me, and over time I’ve seen the same pattern repeat across many dramas.
MDL ratings generally move through two stages: unranked and ranked. Every drama starts in the unranked phase, where the rating algorithm is very simple, mostly just a weighted average of the votes. During this phase, you’ll usually see the drama sitting somewhere around rank 50,000–60,000. After a certain period (20%-50% of the episodes) or votes (200-500 votes) that drama enters into ranked phase. At that moment, the overall rank suddenly jumps to below 10,000. For very popular dramas, it can even jump to around 500.
In the ranked phase, MDL uses a more complex algorithm. It considers multiple variables: weighted average, number of votes, verified-user ratings, dropped-user ratings, activity, and more. It’s almost guaranteed that the rating will drop at the beginning of this phase. The biggest reason is the number of votes, which heavily influences the final score.
For example, you might have an average of 8.5, but with only 200 votes, the displayed rating could be 7.9 or 8.0. With the same average but 10,000 votes, the displayed rating might be around 8.4. There are other factors, but the vote count is the main reason for the temporary drop.
This cycle happens in about 99% of dramas, except for massively popular Korean dramas that get 10,000 votes on the first day. So I understand the frustration from viewers, but honestly, you just have to wait. That’s how the system works.
As for this drama, it’s good and definitely doesn’t deserve a 7.9 rating. Hopefully, it will rise soon. Haha, I wrote a lot. I might copy‑paste this explanation into other drama threads in the future.
I hate when these women with ulterior motives secretly meet the woman they are jealous of to tell them something…
For other dramas, I would probably say the same. But for this one, I actually liked that she talked to the FL about it. I don’t think she said those things because she likes him or wants to create conflict between the main leads.
Honestly, the leads are terrible at personal communication. They never share their struggles with each other. In situations like that, friends usually step in. But here, both leads share the same group of friends, and those friends seem to have conflicts of interest and don’t want to get too involved.
The FL has her sister, who supports her interests. ML needs someone too. I genuinely believe ML’s boss cares about him. ML lost opportunities before at work, kind of ruined his life and is still wasting chances because of the FL. The boss actually cares about him and doesn’t want to see him get hurt again and make reckless decisions. I think she was very polite to the FL. She just said what the FL needed to hear, so FL should be take careful approach about ML. She’s not like the typical 2FL in other dramas. I actually like her approach here.
I liked today’s episode a lot. It was so nice to see them finally get together and share some sweet moments. I wish all the episodes were like that. At least tomorrow’s episode should be good, I’m not sure about the ones after that.
That's why, earlier, I was telling that the director could make Dr. Fang and Yin Jie the 2nd couple and make a…
If that’s the case, I’d love it. I just don’t want to see the 2ML and 2FL anymore. The 2FL will still cause chaos at the end, but I hope they don’t show her doing anything beyond that.
That's why, earlier, I was telling that the director could make Dr. Fang and Yin Jie the 2nd couple and make a…
Well, that was supposed to be a spoiler, sorry. Yes, the ML will return to the medical field, but it only happens near the end. And yes, the FL will stay in the company and eventually inherit it in the future.

I’d like to ship them too, but I think Dr. Fang lives in Shanghai, right? There’s no real interaction between them. I’d rather ship Yin Jie with the new vice General Manager who replaces the ML's position in the company later in the story.
Read the novel last week, and I was a bit worried about how fast the story is progressing. At this rate, the drama will be at most 30 episodes. After watching the episode 17 trailer, it seems like they’re adding extra content that wasn’t in the novel. They’ll probably throw in some unnecessary drama with the 2ML and 2FL that nobody wants to see. These drama writers never miss an opportunity to create pointless side‑drama with second leads, sigh.
